Chapter Fifteen

Clyde woke up groaning. He wasn't ready for another day of posing exercises. He hated to admit it but meeting his idols was ruining his image of them. He walked out of the room they had provided for him into the main hall. They had a small communal area where they all had a place to sit during downtime and eat meals. It was pretty nice all things considered a huge couch and media system, and a dining table, and a kitchen for everyone to sit at. All the scouts were eating breakfast with Raleigh, thoroughly enjoying each other's company. Green was speaking to them. "Yeah, I'm pretty much all better now, I just need a little rest. White might need another week or two, though." "That's great, I'm sure you probably look better in green anyway. Oh hey, you're awake." Raleigh said, acknowledging his existence. Purple waved at him, smiling as he helped himself to the already prepared food at the counter. "So what is on the agenda for today," Clyde asked, already knowing what they had planned.

"Wait before that." Raleigh interjected. "I meant to ask this sooner, but are your names actually colors or do you have real names?" Clyde Spoke up ready to flex his knowledge of the show. He pointed at White. "That's Adrian, Green is called Maya." He points at purple. "That's Cassandra. And orange, and blue are called Ember, and Azure." He said proud to no basic information about them. "Oh thanks Clyde." Adrian says moving on."

"Now that everyone's uniforms match, we can practice the right way. We will do some posing, and transformation exercises. Then we'll see how you guys can handle the Zechs." Clyde perked up. "Wait, I get to pilot a Zech?" He ignored everything else he was saying, his excitement returning. "Awesome, trust me, Clyde they are a blast to drive," Raleigh told him to the surprise of everyone, they gave her the side-eye. "Well um. I may or may not have taken the green one out for a late-night joyride." She replied nervously. They didn't have time to respond because the monster alarm went off. They all stood up. "Monsters must be attacking the city, let's go!" Blue said, running out of the room with the others. Clyde of course followed but wasn't sure if he was ready for it considering they had done no combat training.

In the center of town stood the man from the empire, and his squad of Five including himself. They fired their weapons into the air, causing people to flee from them in a panic. The man laughed, causing all sorts of property damage, which seemed to make him very happy, though he seemed to be avoiding actually hurting any people. The scouts arrived at the scene one after the other, posing together. "Hey you, um stop!" Clyde fumbled through his lines, but his position was perfect with the others. Adrian looked over the fight from their base with a smile on his face, proud of him. The squad of course noticed this, looked a little confused. The man stared at them for a second in a daze. Raleigh and Clyde started to notice they weren't monsters, wondering if they should be doing something different against this enemy they knew a lot better than the scouts.

The other scouts didn't seem to see this as a problem, moving on to the next line they had planned. "No matter what..." Azure started to say before being decked in the face by the female member of the squad. The man smiled charging up his gun open firing at the rest of them. They were all knocked to the ground falling in dramatic ways other than Raleigh who had used her multi-tool to make a shield covering, both her and Clyde. Azure, Cassandra, and Ember didn't know how to respond. It was almost like their brains couldn't conceptualize someone attacking them like this. "What, did you think we'd let you transform into your scout form." The man said, laughing. This was bad for them. They all seemed at a loss for words, and about to be pummeled into the ground.

Quickly, Clyde transformed while he was being protected by Raleigh. He used the enhanced abilities to leap over her and punch the man in the face. He was knocked back, looking at him with a smirk. Raleigh Also transformed while no one was focused on her. "Hurry guys, well hold them off till you can transform," Raleigh shouted, kicking the female squad member away from Azure. After thinking for a second, Azure regained his composure attempting to transform, the smaller squad member fired a shot at him, stopping him before it could take form. He was knocked back down, canceling it out. There was no getting out of it, they had no time to transform like this.
