A skinny man with thick round glasses is presenting something on a whiteboard to someone on a throne. "I think we tried too many air tactics in the last war we lost a lot of people that way, and they didn't even get a chance to fight really. I'm suggesting we limit our Valkyries to a smaller fraction, and use more ground troops." He says to them. "I see your point, but we were fighting Zeus that time, Surter doesn't have too many anti-air weapons. Much more willing to have a real brawl." The person on the throne says. Theron enters the room. "Sorry to interrupt father, but well. Brother is here." He groans. "Well, what are you waiting for, get that boy to come in here, so I can give him a piece of my mind."
She complies, acting a lot timider in front of her father than before. She opens the door, letting the whole gang in. "Well, what do you know, the prodigal son has finally returned of his own accord. Are you finally ready to stop fucking around with those pussies, and be a real man with responsibility like me?" The man said. "Father, I told you...." Theron tried defending him only to get cut off. "Silence Theron. I know what you said he was here for, I don't care." He stands up walking towards Loki making his face clear to them. From the neck down, he was clad in golden armour befitting of a king. His face, however, looked like an everyday middle-aged man Clyde often saw back in his world. It certainly stood out compared to everyone else they met here, he tried not to laugh. He had a very square-shaped black mustache. "And who are these two losers you brought back with you." That one looks like he'd die if you breathed on him wrong. He said pointing at Clyde, Loki didn't say a word like he was waiting for his father to finish ranting first.
"These losers, are my comrades both powerful in their own right," Loki answered, eyes closed in an annoyed manner. "I am here to settle things once, and for all, father. I will not be taking your place ever. Listen to me now get it into your thick skull old man." His dad groaned. "Come the fuck on. I let you play with your little sissy friends for too long, it's time to grow up. Become war master already, so I can bash some heads in again. I'm tired of everyone having a blast while I can only watch." "I beg your pardon." At first, Loki seemed angry at his father, but his words quickly turned to confusion. "Being a War Master is boring, it's been so long since I've felt the rush of battle." He said. Loki faced palmed, it looked like he had misunderstood his father's reasons. "If that's all you want to have Theron take your place. She would be a much better fit than I." "Don't be stupid, Loki, it can only be passed to the strongest family member and the oldest. It's been that way for generations." He retorts. "Our bloodline starts with you and mother," Loki says, unamused. "Don't talk back to me, boy!" He says, not giving him an answer. His dad doesn't care what anyone else wants, only what he wants.
Loki sighs, feeling like his time has been wasted coming here. "This is stupid." Raleigh's buts in she has a fire in her words, a chord has been struck. "Not everything is about you, and your stupid bullshit, old guy!" He looks over at her, furious. "How dare you!" He raises his hand to backhand her, something she will not just let him do. Loki blocks him from doing so. "Perhaps I should talk in a language you understand. My two friends and I shall participate in your war. I will show you just how strong they are. And when they bring you victory. You can no longer invalidate them or my lifestyle." Loki says. Clyde seems shocked to hear that. "Are you really OK with fighting Loki?" It took a second to answer. "Well, no, not really, but sometimes you do things you don't want to for the people you love." His father laughed at him, it seems he was satisfied. "I agree, you'll all be starters. I guess I haven't introduced myself to you wimps. I'm The Great War Master." He paused as if he was building up to something. "Dave." Clyde's face physically cringed when he said that.
Loki turned one hundred eighty degrees, leaving through the door. "Well, with that settled, I'll be off." Clyde and Raleigh ran after him. "Wait, Loki!" He didn't stop walking, so they walked with him. "Is this really what you want." He asks him. "I don't foresee another way. Don't worry." He stops in the middle of the hall where it intersects and points to his right. "The Armory is that way, I suggest you prepare. I must do my preparations." He walks away, leaving them there. Raleigh tugs on his collar. "Let's leave him alone for now. He might be a weirdo, but I think he knows what he's doing." She says. Clyde is hesitant but goes with her to the armory.
