Pain... that's all Kate felt as Jesse and Lucy rushed into the house. She'd gotten her ass kicked by an assassin.

Lucy hesitated before taking Kate's hand. "Squeeze my hand as hard as you need."

"You have to go after her..." Kate breathed out, gripping Lucy's hand.

"Kai is doing that." Lucy responded.

The blonde's eyes fluttered closed as the pain grew worse.

Lucy squeezed Kate's hand. "Stay awake."

Forcing her eyes open, Kate swallowed thickly as the pain in her shoulder got worse.

"I know it hurts but we are going to get you help." Jesse said.

Kate glanced up at Jesse and tried not to wince in pain.

"We've got you." Jesse said.

Sirens sounded in the distance.

"I'm fine." Kate mumbled, not looking at Lucy, Kai, Jesse, or Jane. She was sitting up in the hospital bed, her left arm in a sling. A minor concussion and three cracked ribs along with a dislocated shoulder was the outcome of her battle with the assassin.

"You are not fine." Kai said, worriedly.

Kate closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "I don't need to stay with someone, I can manage it on my own." She said calmly.

"You need someone." Kai said stubbornly.

The blonde groaned softly and leaned her head back against her pillows.

"Who do you want to stay with you?" Lucy asked.

Forcing her eyes open, Kate swallowed thickly. If she chose Kai then Lucy would feel hurt, if she chose Lucy then Kai would feel hurt, and if she chose neither of them, then they both would feel hurt.

Lucy didn't look at Kate, not wanting to pressure her into making a decision.

"How about Kate stays with me until she's able to be left alone?" Jane offered, looking around at her team.

"If Kate is happy with that and it's not a problem for you," Kai said, looking over at Kate.

Kate swallowed thickly before nodding her head.

Lucy sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. "I need the bathroom." She murmured before disappearing into the ensuite.

Looking down, Kate tried not to feel upset. She should've known Lucy would be upset if she didn't just choose her.

"I don't think Lucy is hurt or upset. I think she's just tired after today." Kai said, reaching out to place a comforting hand on her shoulder.

Nodding her head, Kate leaned back on the pillows again and closed her eyes. She hated hospitals.

Lucy returned from the bathroom. "If you guys don't need me, I'm going to head home." She murmured.

Kate sighed as she slowly sat down on the couch in Jane's living room. "Are the kids with Daniel?" She asked softly.

Jane nodded. "Yeah, it's his weekend."

"I'm sorry, you probably wanted a relaxing weekend." Kate mumbled, looking down.

"I didn't have any plans. You don't have to apologize. You're ohana. I'd do anything for ohana." Jane said softly, patting Kate's good shoulder.

The blonde took a deep breath and looked over at Jane. "Even if I'm causing problems with two of your agents?"

"Kai and Lucy can be professional." Jane assured Kate.
