Tyler's POV
When Sunday came, I found myself sitting outside Zara's house. I had to admit, she's really done well for herself out here. New car and new house. I spent ten minutes here, considering whether I should proceed or not. Yet, I must admit that I was in the wrong for breaking her car window and I owed her money for it.
With a sigh, I stepped out of the car and slowly climbed the stairs to her porch. I rang the doorbell and stood there, waiting. A few moments passed before Zara, in a jean outfit, opened the door.
Zara: (folds her arms) Which one of them told you where I stay?
Tyler: That doesn't matter.
Zara: (sighs) What are you doing here?
Tyler: I wanted to give you the money for your car window. I wasn't trying to break it.
Zara: I don't need or want your money, Tyler. I want you to leave me alone.
Tyler: Why are you being so stubborn, Ra? I'm trying to be nice and apologize.
Zara: You have way too many things to apologize to me about.
She reached over and grabbed what sounded like keys.
Tyler: Where are you going?
Zara: (steps out of the house) None of your damn business. You shouldn't even be here.
Tyler: Fine. Be that way. I'll just sit here until you get back.
Zara: And the cops will be here to get your ass for trespassing on my property. Go back to wherever the fuck you came from, T.
She locked the door to her house then started to make her way down the stairs leading to the driveway.
Tyler: Good luck trying to leave. I parked right behind you.
Zara: (turns around) What do you want from me, Tyler?
Tyler: I want us to get over this shit! It's been a year!
Zara: Okay? What's that supposed to mean?
Tyler: It means, I'm ready to get over this.
Walking up the stairs, she unlocked the front door and stepped back inside. I followed her and closed the door after us. With crossed arms, she positioned herself at the end of the foyer.
Zara: Time is running out, so get to the point quickly or I'll be late.
Tyler: Late for what?
Zara: My date.
Tyler: (waves her off) Yeah, fuck that. I want to make things right between the two of us. This isn't our true nature - all this not speaking, fighting, and carrying on.
