Tyler's POV
Zara and I chose to take it easy on our final day in Tulum before our flight in the morning. We were both still in bed, which was unusual for me at this time. At this point, I'm already moving forward to the next part of my day.
Zara: (traces Tyler's chest) Do you think we'll be good parents?
Tyler: Duh! We're gonna be the best parents ever. What made you ask that?
Zara: (shrugs) Just wondering. That's all.
Tyler: I'm gonna need you to stop psyching yourself out. We're gonna be just fine.
Zara: (looks up at him) You think so?
Tyler: I know so. I'm gonna make sure we have everything we need.
Zara: Do you think we should figure out some names or would it be too soon?
Tyler: I don't think it's too soon. If we came up with options early, I would just think that we were prepared.
Zara: Have you ever thought about having a Jr?
Tyler: Nah. I want my son to have his own identity. I don't want people trying to hold him to my standards.
Zara: That's a good point. I think I want to do something cute like combine our names and see what we come up with.
Tyler: Why combine our names? I feel like that still ties into what I said about Jr.
Zara: I don't think so. They can still have their own identity because it's not exactly our names. It's just parts of it to make a new one. Like for a girl, I think Tyara would be adorable.
Tyler: (furrows brows) I don't have an "I" in my name.
Zara: Duh! We'll spell it with a "Y" so that it's the first two letters of your name and last three of mine.
Tyler: There's absolutely no name we could come up with for a boy using ours.
Zara: What makes you say that?
Tyler: (shrugs) There just isn't. It wouldn't make sense.
Zara: Hmm...I'll figure it out when we get home. I'll do the work myself.
Tyler: I'm telling you, Ra. That shit is gonna be ugly.
Zara: (sucks teeth) Don't say that.
Tyler: I'm just telling you the truth. Instead of combining why not just have other options?
Zara: (sighs) That's boring. Plus I like the name Tyara.
Tyler: I like that name too but maybe we should just make it an option and find other names to choose from.
Zara: Like what?
Tyler: (shrugs) I don't know. Maybe Slater.
Zara: You're joking right?
Tyler: (raises brow) Maybe?
Zara: No way! I'm not naming our kid after your bike.
Tyler: Okay, the middle name then.
Zara: I'll think about it.
Tyler: Um...Nova?
Zara: Eh. I feel like there's a lot of novas now. Shai?
