*Sans’s Perspective*

Once we had met Gaster's expectations, he decided it was time to take us out of the lab. We stepped into the elevator at the far end of the hallway, its key card lock a silent guardian, ensuring that escape from the confines of Gaster's lab remained an elusive dream—if we ever managed to escape our cage. On this level, every door bore the same key card locks, a web of security woven to thwart any attempts at freedom. As I glanced around the elevator, an unsettling realization dawned upon me: we were deep beneath the earth, trapped in a labyrinthine fortress of Gaster’s making.

The weight of despair threatened to settle in my soul as I took in the elaborate measures he had devised to keep us captive. At long last, we emerged at the first level of the lab, the elevator doors opening to reveal the world outside for the first time. My brothers and I peered through the windows, our eyes hungry for the sight of the unknown. Gaster strode ahead, and we instinctively trailed behind him toward the automatic front doors.

The moment they swung open, a rush of crisp air enveloped us, a refreshing escape from the sterile confines of the building. We stepped out into a glorious embrace of warmth and sunlight, everything radiating an almost surreal beauty. It had to be summer, a season just unfolding, and we found ourselves in a picturesque forest, ablaze with cherry blossoms and vibrant trees in full blossom. The wind swirled around us, lifting petals from the flowers, sending them twirling and sparkling in the air, enhancing the magic of the day.

But, as always, Gaster's presence loomed over this enchanting moment, his voice cutting through the beauty with remarks about how vile and bothersome the flowers were. We fell back into line, following him along a path that led us away from the building that had been our prison since birth. We continued until the pathway came to a halt, revealing a black horse-drawn carriage before us. With a terse command, Gaster beckoned us to climb inside, and we obediently followed his lead.

Once we settled into our seats, Gaster signaled the driver to proceed. After some time, I noticed Papyrus starting to shake with anxiety, fear evident on his face as if he was going to questioned where Gaster was leading us. Mincho and I exchanged glances and made it our mission to soothe him without gaster noticing. We both understood that Gaster wouldn't take kindly to his creation displaying fear in front of others. We had to act as his obedient instruments for whatever nonsensical schemes he had in mind—whatever those might entail.

He still hadn’t revealed the reasons behind our creation or the grueling training he had put us through. Yet today, he ominously claimed that we would finally discover our purpose in life. The way he articulated that promise, coupled with his piercing gaze, sent a chill crawling down our baby bone spines.

Let’s be honest: even if Mincho and I don’t always behave like little ones, we’re still just ten years old, and Papyrus, in the grand scheme of boss monster years, is a mere five. So no matter how much Papyrus cutely pouts or insists he’s mature, we’re still very young.

“Today we shall meet the emperor. You will remain silent. Is that understood?” Gaster commanded, and we all nodded obediently.

“Excellent,” he replied, and from that moment on, the carriage filled with an air of tension, enveloped in silence for the duration of our journey.

After an hour and a half, we arrived at a bustling area where a multitude of Jinmaku tents sprawled out before us. The centerpiece was a tent significantly larger than the others. With a sense of assurance, Gaster strode toward it, with us trailing closely behind. Upon entering, we were greeted by the sight of a magnificent goat creature, adorned with a majestic golden mane and spiraled horns. Dressed in a striking black tosei-gusoku, he sat regally at a large table. To his right was a venerable turtle monster draped in blue yoroi, while a fiery creature clad in yellow yoroi occupied the left side.
