**Papyrus' POV**
After twenty minutes had passed, Mincho's screams ceased, though he was left gasping for breath after losing consciousness. The syringe withdrew from his soul, unveiling a vibrant teal essence resting above his rib cage.
"It seems to be effective. Now it’s your turn, Papyrus. And this time, I'll restrain your skull more," Gaster declared, a triumphant gleam in his eyes.
My machine activated in a manner similar to Mincho’s, but instead of the teal, it injected a striking orange liquid into my soul. Instantly, I erupted into screams, and unlike Mincho, I managed to break free from the restraints holding down my arms.
Frantically, I began to claw at my eye sockets, desperate to alleviate the searing pain, shouting, "GET IT OUT!! GET IT OUT!! SANS!! MINCHO!! HELP ME, PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!!!"
I caught a glimpse of Sans in my peripheral vision, straining against his bindings in a futile attempt to reach me. Gaster held me back firmly, preventing any further self-inflicted injury. After an hour of relentless agony in my soul, I succumbed to unconsciousness—the torment was far worse than the time Gaster had fused my soul with my brothers’.
**Sans' POV**
Papyrus was panting heavily, mirroring Mincho’s earlier state. The echo of his cries had faded, and the machine’s needle relinquished its grip on his essence. Now, his soul shimmered like amber, suspended delicately above his rib cage, much like Mincho's.
"Now it's your turn, Sans," Gaster announced, tightening the restraints around me, far more than he had used on Papyrus. He activated the machine hovering above me, the needle plunging into my soul, delivering a chilling infusion of dark azure fluid.
In that instant, the reason behind my brothers' frantic reactions crystallized in my mind. This agony is indescribable! It feels as though my soul is being fractured and painfully reassembled, while my eye sockets blaze with an unbearable heat. This torment eclipses any previous suffering inflicted by Gaster; until now, the hurt was confined to my soul, but now it envelops me completely, as if something foreign has taken root within me.
With my hands bound tightly to my sides, I desperately sought a way to relieve the searing agony in my eye sockets. Summoning every ounce of strength, I managed to free my right arm and began tugging at my eye socket. I heard the sickening sound of bones cracking, but the pain was too intense for me to care; all I wanted was to make it stop. I craved to REMOVE IT.
Gaster seized my clawed hand, prying it from my eye and pinning me down with a surge of magic. The torment dragged on for what felt like an eternity, maybe even longer; the relentless ache made it impossible to keep track of time. Finally, the pain subsided, along with the inferno in my eye sockets. I glanced at my soul, transformed from its usual purple hue to a subdued violet. I fought to stay awake just a moment longer, witnessing Gaster shut down the machines, our souls retreating into the confines of our rib cages.
I succumbed to the darkness, exhaustion overtaking me after the ordeal my body and spirit had endured. Just before I lost consciousness completely, I caught Gaster's voice, declaring, "Marvelous. Now that I’ve validated my experiment, it’s time to report my findings to the emperor. We may even need to draft some monsters against their will, altering their soul traits to enhance their power for the battles ahead. A truly splendid plan,"
Once he departed, a single idea consumed my thoughts: 'Someday, I will ensure that Gaster answers for the suffering he's inflicted upon me and my brothers. Our vengeance will come.' And then, darkness enveloped me.
