Frisk POV
When I first woke up, I was on a bed of Red spider lilies with light shining down on me. I didn't have any memories of how I got there. I spent a long time in that room trying to remember anything but no matter how hard I tried I would always come up blank. When I finally gave up I took a look at my surroundings and found myself in a room that looked to be very run down. I say this because the walls were gray when it seemed they were supposed to be white and parts of the walls had big chunks that showed the walls were made of stones. The ceiling had a hole in it that was letting sunlight into the room and the room had only one doorway.
When I looked over at the doorway I saw a shining star and in my curiosity I carefully walked over to try and touch it. And when I did the shining star seemed to have given me some information about myself and what it was.
My name was Frisk and I was a human child. The shining star was called a save star and are essentially the save points of the world, they could be used to save my state at the time, including my health, and location. The reason I can use the save points is because I have Determination, which is a powerful force that allows me to manipulate the timeline in a way. After I had processed all that information I touched the save star again to see if I could get any more information. but the only thing I got was (The shadows of the palace ruins rooms above, fills you with determination and your HP was fully restored.)
When I found out I wasn't going to get any more information I went to explore the so called palace I had found myself in to look for more stars. When I finally found another save star it was in a room that was large, with open space that had a tree in the middle of it that had a small pile of leaves, and had a dirty glass roof, that allowed some natural light to flood in. I later found out the room was called an Atrium and the tree that had the save star next to it in its pile of leaves was a Ginkgo. That star informed me how to perform a reset, what it could be used for, and what happens when you use it. And I was thrilled with the information I had received. I mean Sure, by using the star to reset I would basically be sent back to the last star I saved at. But hey, that means if I got hurt or even worse killed I could just reset and would be perfectly fine. When I touched it again I got (Playfully crinkling through the leaves that fills you with determination and again your HP was fully restored.)
I met a few monsters that made the ruins they're home for the first time I was very scared till I realized they were not a threat to me. But they gave me important information like how I was in the monsters Empire's old palace called the ruins. It turned out because something very bad happened to the monsters a long time ago when they used to travel around the world freely. So they sealed themselves away from the outside and there was no way of getting out till the barrier was broken. But whenever I tried to ask questions like 'what made monsters seal themselves away or how can the barrier be broken.' Some monsters would say I was too young to know the reason the monsters chose to be sealed away. And for my second question about the barrier many of the monsters just went silent then looked at me and said maybe someday soon. Momsters are so annoying.
I finally found the third star after I had finished many puzzles that were in the ruins by the monsters for some strange reason. When asked about it to two of the most insufferable monsters I would ever meet later on I found out monsters love making puzzles. But only if they're not too lazy like the two of them. Anyways the star was in a long hall leading to the next room but was next to a mouse hole that I hoped had no mice in it as I went to touch the star. (Knowing that the mouse would not leave its hole filled you with determination.) I got no additional information but when I found out there was in fact a mouse in that hole I quickly headed to the next room.
The fourth star was in front of a small house that seemed to be there for travelers as a rest spot. I learned it was called a Kōkyo it was maintained very well. (Seeing such a cute, tidy house in the ruins gives you determination.) After I touched the star I noticed I could rest there because I was getting sleepy.
