two weeks later
Sylvie
I got back home a week ago and things have been a little difficult for me to adjust with, Oscar has been helping me a ton by telling about the school, he had lived here for two years when he was younger, so he had gone to the same school as the others for a while.
"I don't really have friends at school, even though I was here for 2 years, I mostly kept to myself" He explained, currently seated on the dining table as we arrange our books in our bags.
School starts tomorrow, and I can't really walk for long so I will be using my wheelchair for a while, I can only imagine the taunts and rumors I'll get to hear about myself once I walk through those corridors.
"Oh, well, you have one friend now" I gesture towards myself, it's honestly a relief knowing that I have atleast one friend before I go to school.
Even though I love talking to new people, I'm not entirely sure they'd want to befriend a Bernardi.
"Yup, I hit the jackpot by getting the best one" He subtly winks at me before I hear Matteo enter the kitchen. A blush makes it's way onto my cheeks, a smile spread across my lips.
"All ready for tomorrow?" He asks, not looking up from his phone, giving me enough time to hide my blush, I'd rather die than have anyone know of my attractions towards Oscar.
"Yep" I reply closing the zip of my bag as I place it on the side, Matteo went in ahead and got us our schedules earlier.
Since I'm two years ahead of him, I don't really have any classes with him. But I am in the same class as Luca and Matteo.
"How about you two go catch some sleep, you have to be up by 5.30 tomorrow" He finally looks up from his phone, smiling as he walks over to help me with my bag.
"this is the one thing about school that I haven't missed" I huff as I wheel myself back to my room with Matteo and Oscar behind me. I hear Oscar chuckle in the background, atleast someone finds my misery amusing.
"I'll be in my room as always if you need anything" Matteo says placing my bag down next to my study table, "Good night Syl" He places a kiss to my forehead before disappearing into his room.
"I'm not sleepy yet, you wanna hang out for a while?" I ask Oscar, hoping he'd say yes. I took a nap in the afternoon, so there's no way I can fall asleep so early.
"Sure, what do you wanna do?" He asks, I invite him to my room, and he helps me onto my bed before pulling the single couch closer so he could sit on it.
"Have you ever played 21 questions?" He asks, I simply nod and he takes that as a que to start asking me questions.
"So, pray tell me Sylvie Bernardi, what is the color that you happen to fancy?" He asked, with a weird accent.
My giggles filled in the air around us as I replied to his question.

Boom
I pull myself out of the nightmare as I sit up straight on my bed. Beads of sweat coat my skin and shiver runs down my spine.
I look around my room and quickly reach out to turn on the light.
Grabbing my pillow I slowly inch my way towards Luca's room. Slowly opening the door only to find it empty.
An unsettling feeling fills my stomach, fear creeps it's way in.
Maybe my nightmare was true, maybe they all left and I'm all alone now, maybe myself is all I have left.
