2. Her and Her Friend

"Where did all this stuff come from?" He chuckles as Ellie is surrounded by various records, CDs, and cassettes along with their respective players. All of them compared to her two small bags of clothes look ridiculous. And two different guitars with one bass.

"Oh, I carry it in my head. So I don't lose it. Everyone thought it was stupid but hey, I got thrown out of heaven and still have my important stuff!" She shrugs happily, immediately dropping to her knees to look at the music.

"What is all this anyway?" He asks, kneeling with her to look at the two crates.

"Music I've collected from the earth over the years. I love it, I live for it!" She says with the biggest smile on her face he's seen on anyone in a long time.

"Hey...what's it like there? On earth, I mean. I know I made it horrible but-"

"Horrible? I wouldn't say horrible. I love it, it's the best place in the world," She sighs contently, meeting his eyes again. "Sure, bad things happen. But the good things? Oh, Lucifer, the good things are so good. The bright blue skies, the green grass, beaches with the most beautiful waters, it's incredible. The seasons change so it's like you always have something new and exciting to look forward to. And humans! They can be so flawed but it makes them all the more interesting. They're so cute, did you know they celebrate the new year by kissing whoever they want to keep in their lives for the next year at midnight?" She describes it so lovingly, so beautifully. He's never heard it described like this. Only wars and fighting and all kinds of other ugly things. But to know that there's still some good in it makes him feel less shitty.

"That's...actually really cute." He chuckles.

"And when something bad happens, like an injury or a loved one dying, or even good things, like a wedding or a baby being born, and people start cooking for the family and bringing them food. It's almost like a whole other universal language. And dancing! There are so many different ways people dance and sing for celebrations or even just because! But music is the true love of my life. I would sneak down to earth just to hear all the different types in so many different places. I wish you could see it." She tells him.

The way she describes it is so lovely. There's this shimmer in her eyes, happiness radiating off of her. And the way she looks at him so happily and full of love talking about the earth, he feels it filling his senses. She's not the perfect example of an angel compared to heaven's rules. But to him? She's more angelic than anything he's ever seen. He's missed this energy in people.

And for her, she just keeps talking about the earth because of how he looks hearing about it. There's this cute small smile that keeps growing on his face the more she rambles on. It's hard to find good things about the earth in this day and age. But there are good things, great things. She really does love the earth. But she also knows that the blonde in front of her is hot and rich.

"You've gotta hear some of this. Pick a decade." She pulls the crates closer to her, resting her arms on them.

"You have these of just the decades? Who made those?" He asks.

"Ex-boyfriends, ex-girlfriends, friends with benefits, you know. Now, pick a decade, babe." She smirks.

"Okay, um, the eighties. The 1980s, not any other eighties." He tells her and she immediately begins digging through the cassettes.

"Greatest hits made by yours truly. Only my favorites of the greatest hits, obviously." She laughs as she waves her hand to plug in the player before putting in the tape.

After a few seconds of silence and then a few seconds of random whirring, a few beats start from the song. She quickly stands up and lets out a loud cheer. Like A Virgin by Madonna starts blasting in Morningstar Manor.
