One month later"Is anyone gonna help me?" Ellie shouts out to Charlie, Vaggie, Husk, Angel, Pentious, Alastor, and Nifty by the hotel. No one answers and just continues to watch in amazement before Ellie swings her axe as if she's playing baseball, decapitating this huge beast with four horns and the head of a lion.
With one swift motion, she kicks the body to the floor and stands on top of it, bringing the axe down one more time. Ellie's chest heaves as she struggles to catch her breath, the adrenaline still coursing through her veins. Sweat drips from her brow, mingling with the dust and blood that stained her skin. She looked around at her friends, their faces a mixture of awe and admiration at her display of strength.
The crowd to the left and right of her begins to go wild. The news crews immediately roll in, getting set up as soon as possible.
"Really? No one?" She calls out between breaths, her voice slightly hoarse from exertion. But her friends remain silent, still processing the spectacle they had just witnessed.
With a weary sigh, Ellie wiped her brow with the back of her hand and leaned heavily on her huge guitar axe for support. The weight of the battle hung in the air around her, a tangible reminder of the dangers she faces in Hell.
Although she has the power to make these creatures disappear with the snap of her fingers, she's always had this fear that one day it's not gonna work and she'll be embarrassed. There's never any fighting in Heaven so she would probably crawl into a hole if she tried to magically take a beast out and then it doesn't work so she has to brute strength it anyway.
As the adrenaline began to fall away, she feels the exhaustion creeping in, her muscles protesting against the strain they endured. She pulls her axe out before hopping back to the floor and immediately a camera is stuck in her face.
"And you've done it again! How does it feel to have fought off yet another big ass monster?" Katie Killjoy asks obnoxiously.
"The same as last time, and the time before that, and the time before that." She sighs before she gets swarmed even more.
Borderline disrespectful and straight-up inappropriate questions come from the press as she tries to push through to get back into the hotel. All of her friends have already retreated into the hotel. She walks backwards, choosing some questions to answer before making it into the hotel and slamming the doors.
"Seriously?" Ellie turns around to see everyone acting like nothing happened.
"Don't blame me, I'm a guest here. I don't gotta fight no one." Angel shrugs.
"Alastor." Ellie drops her axe on the floor.
He just stares for a moment before turning around in silence and walking away.
"I'm sorry, Ellie, I was protecting my little egg boys." Pentious frowns.
"Whoever keeps sending monsters after me- you know what? I'm not giving this any more attention." She breathes out.
"Good, you shouldn't. You've gone undefeated the whole month, clearly, it's not something to worry about." Husk adds.
"You're trending again." Angel doesn't look up from his phone.
"Okay, this is just annoying. I didn't even do anything to blow up like this, I'm just a normal person." She puts her head in her hands.
"That's what all celebrities say!" Pentious perks up.
"Ugh, that's true," Ellie whines.
"Woah, what happened to you?" Lucifer laughs at her as she walks through the door.
