20. Guilty Pleasure

"Eleanor Last Name, come on! You're late!" Angel pounds on the door at least twenty times. Within an instant, it flies open.

"What? I'm ready." She stands there as if nothing's wrong.

"Is your last name Christ?"

"I- I don't know, Angel." She says exasperatedly.

"Come on, slut, a lot of guests are arriving." Angel laughs and turns around to walk out.

Angel leads the way down to the lobby. Ellie's reluctant to even go because she exhausted herself getting her hair big enough and breathing more aerosol than air. When the elevator opens, she can see that Angel is right. A lot of guests have poured in, and more are still making their way in. Charlie is already charming and dazzling her guests and the other guests begin to mingle.

She looks around and she can't seem to find Lucifer. She instantly decides that if her friend isn't here in five minutes, she's leaving. She begins to walk around to make sure she doesn't miss him, weaving her way through the crowd.

"Ellie, right?" A voice says behind her and she turns around.

"Oh, yes! Hello, your...um-"

"Don't worry about all that, just call me Ozzie or Asmodeus or 'dumb fuck' anything works." He jokes.

"Thank you for coming, Charlie's gonna be really happy to see you. She told me about the time you took her to see A Night at the Roxbury when she wanted to see Antz." Ellie smiles.

"She's still on that?" Ozzie laughs.

"And she still hasn't seen Antz, if you were curious," Lucifer pops out of no where to stand beside Ellie. He then leans over to kiss her cheek. "Hi, honey, sorry I'm late."

"Did I miss something here?" Ozzie asks.

"Where's your little imp?" Lucifer asks, ignoring the question.

"Over there with...the other ones." He gestures to Fizzarolli and three other imps speaking in the corner.

"Ellie! Come here, you've gotta meet my Aunt Bee!" Charlie waves from a few feet away.

"Sorry, please excuse me while I go with Charlie." Ellie giggles before walking away to go to Charlie.

"So, I brought you something for the invite. It's an Asmodian crystal, it grants you access to the human realm easier than any of the other methods." He hands Lucifer a small box.

"Oh, you shouldn't have," Lucifer smiles but his mind begins racing. He can get Ellie back there. "Thank you."

"No problem. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go get Fizzy and myself a drink." He smiles.

"I'll go with you, I need a drink." Lucifer chuckles.

The two go up to the bar to order drinks. Lucifer turns around to see Ellie talking to Bee and Charlie, all three are smiling. And he noticed but hasn't said anything yet about how beautiful Ellie looks tonight. Her hair did come out great. But her dress is something else entirely.

She wears this classic deep maroon dress that goes to her ankles with slightly puffy sleeves and a square neckline. It suits her perfectly and hugs her waist just right.

She manages to meet his eye at the bar, looking over at him for a moment. She gives a tiny wave and a smile and he does the same before the bartender calls for him. The bartender had been calling him for a minute but he didn't notice until then and he quickly turns around and it makes her laugh.
