"It's just a weekend trip, do you really need that much stuff?" Ellie asks as Lucifer wheels out two suitcases."Yes, Your Highness. I'm transferring some of my ducks to my other place so I don't run out of room here, princess." He winks.
"It's been a minute since I've heard that. But either way, I'm not ready for the day you do run out of room." She hums.
"Do you want to take the elevator or do you want to join me through a portal?" He asks smugly.
"Hold on, we're going with the cowboys right?" She asks with a growing grin.
"Yeah, basically." He says and within a second Ellie's outfit completely changes.
She fixes her hair as he immediately looks down to observe her new outfit. She now has this black dress with a short-sleeved denim shirt on top of it, tied at her waist. She has these red boots that match a little red heart pendant around her neck.
"Maybe I didn't find the love of my life at Ozzie's but maybe I'll find a lonesome cowboy who longs for a family." She smiles before picking her bag up off the floor.
"What I would give to live in your mind for a day." He shakes his head.
"I'm ready now." She places a hand on his arm.
He looks at her with a grin before opening the portal. It's immediately hotter as they step through and it's brighter. They land in front of a small farmhouse, minus the farm, Lucifer owns. It's hidden away from the rest of the town and the rest of Hell, for that matter.
He built it himself after everything happened with Lilith. He had stayed there for a year, just farming and simply living. Now, everything on the farm has died because he hasn't been there in a long time. But the house is still beautiful.
He leads the way to walk inside, making sure nothing unwanted made its way in or around the house. Everything is just as he left it. Even though the house is so beautiful, it looks dark and lonely. No matter how much he wants to say it's only like that because he was gone, he can't because it looked like this while he was here. It matches his headspace at the time.
But of course, Ellie walks in with this bright smile and when he turns around to look at her, everything feels lighter.
"You built all this? The roof isn't gonna come crashing down in the middle of the night, is it?" She asks.
"No, no, it's stable. Barely, but it's stable. Let's just hope no strong winds come and blow it away." He jokes.
She's still smiling as she walks to place her bag on the table. He magically turns on the lights before setting his stuff down on the couch. His attention turns back to her happily looking around. She walks around the kitchen and notices a sad vase with a dead flower in it that hangs sadly over the edge. It looks like if you even breathe near it, it'll collapse.
She doesn't think he's looking so she lightly places a finger on the glass to make the pink flower rise back up. It looks like it's barely in bloom and so much more alive than before. And to add to it, a pretty green ribbon appears around it in a bow. She stops and thinks for a second before creating two new flowers to appear beside it. One orange, and one yellow.
She then turns around to observe the rest of the house. It's not very big, definitely not as big as the manor. But it's nice. When she turns to look at him, he's still looking. He looks completely frozen in place with his hand on his bag before he quickly looks away.
He looks so cute when he does that, he does that a lot, especially with the way his cheeks go so pink. He awkwardly taps his fingers on the top of his bag which makes her try to contain a giggle.
