"Are you ready for tomorrow?" Lucifer asks as Ellie plops down on his bed.

"Ready as I'll ever be. I'm nervous though." She says, sitting crisscrossed beside him as he leans against his headboard.

"If you need me for anything, anything at all, I'll be there," He smiles. "Just call, Chérie."

"You make me sick." She jokes about how sweet that was.

"Here, I washed some of those cherries I brought you," He chuckles, grabbing a small bowl from his nightstand and handing it to her. "You know, to help you sleep. In case you can't."

"Thank you." She smiles at him so softly and he hates that he feels this pang in his chest when she does.

He smiles back at her as she reaches down to eat one. But then before she can finish, he reaches into the bowl to grab one for himself.

"Hey, I thought these were for me." She giggles.

"And me because they look good." He smirks.

"I'll be extra careful tomorrow just so I can come home, get you some cherries, and then eat them all." She teases.

"You're funny but be extra careful in general, not just for that." He smiles.

"I will, I will. You don't have to worry about me." She lightly hits his arm.

  "Are you sleeping here tonight?"

  "Should I?" She hums.

"My answer's always yes but it's up to you." He shrugs.

  "Okay then, here it is."

They continue sharing cherries as Ellie reaches for a magazine she had been reading before and flips through it. It's this fashion one about the latest trends and she just so happens to be on one of the pages.

She flips past it, going onto the next page. She gets so caught up in this story about two celebrities that she doesn't even notice Lucifer looking at her. He observes her, everything about her. The funny pattern on her socks, the white plaid baggy pajama shorts she has on, her grey t-shirt with navy blue sleeves and a matching star on the front.

Ellie has been very lucky in getting clear her micro-crush on Lucifer. He, however, has not been so lucky. He's been trying so hard to stop his feelings and he thinks it's working. At least until he watches her shut the magazine and put the bowl beside her when they're done.

"Are you tired yet?" He asks.

"Tired? Yes. Sleepy? No." She sighs.

"I'm slightly sleepy, I think I'm gonna lay down. But first, bring it in because tomorrow's the fight and I'm very paranoid." He smiles, opening his arms to her.

"You've got nothing to worry about. We're a tough group, I promise." She smiles, scooting closer to him to accept his hug.

He holds her so close, that he can feel her heartbeat. It's calming. She pulls away the slightest bit while still holding on to him to get a good look at him. He watches her as she carefully pushes a piece of hair out of his face. Her hands rest on his back, them still being so close. She can feel his heartbeat pick up but she assumes it's because he's nervous for tomorrow.

He gently brings his hands out to put her hands where her jaw meets her neck. She smiles at him so cutely and so happily that he can't help himself. He moves in slowly, giving her time to move, before he gently presses his lips to hers. He immediately feels calmer.

His shoulders loosen as he pulls her closer to him as he kisses her. He can taste the cherries on her lips and her lips are so warm and soft. He kisses her differently than the two other times. It's slower, more gentle. He's delicate with her, he savors every second of it. He brings his hands down to wrap around her waist and support her back. They're both smiling into it now as he's so careful with her. And then he realizes that this whole time, his heart has felt like it's swelling.
