A few weeks went by and as Husk suspected he hasn't seen Angeldust again. He couldn't deny that he worried about him. He wasn't looking to get back together but, they both deserved closure, and maybe they could be friends again.
He found himself if the elevator of an apartment complex, on his way up to Cherribombs apartment.
A couple days earlier
Husk was on his way home from his casino, he was walking this time because he had stopped at a 24 hour liquor store. When he spotted a certain spider's phone case on a bench. He was just glad, it hadn't been stolen.
He knocked on the door.
Cherribomb stood up from her couch, walked over to her front door and looked through the peepole.
She turned her back to the door and looked at her friend who was sat on the couch.
"It's Husk."
"I'm not here, you haven't seen me." He stated before getting off the couch and going into Cherri's 'guest' room, but her guest was only ever Angel. She didn't trust her other friends enough to let them stay a night let alone live with her without a question asked.
Cherri waited til her friend was out of sight, then she unlocked and opened the door.
She raised an eyebrow.
"Long time no see, old man. The fuck you've been?"
Husk sighed.
"Yeah, uhh. Sorry for showing outta the blue. I Found Angel's phone on my way home from work, a couple days ago, been meaning to give it you, but I haven't had time." Husk stated handing the shorter demon Angeldust's phone.
She nodded.
"I'll be sure to give it to him, when I see him." She answered.
The cat demon nodded.
"Has he been okay? He looked like he was runnin' again." He wondered.
She sighed.
"I dunno." There was a pause. "He's not been here in ages." It wasn't a total lie, before Angeldust showed up it had been months since they last seen each other in person.
Husk nodded.
"Well, thanks. Bye." The cat said before walking away as Cherribomb closed the door.
She sat on the couch and put Angel's phone on the charger.
"You can come out now, Dumbass!" She beaconed.
The guests room's door opened Angel walked down the hall, past her kitchen and into the living room. He sat next to Cherribomb on the couch. He looked as if he was waiting to be told why Husk was here.
"Member how ya bought a new phone yesterday cause, you lost yours?" She asked.
The spider nodded though, he looked confused
"Ex boyfriend of the year found it, and just wanted me to give it to you." She stated. Pointing to the phone on the charger.
The spider blushed and then facepalmed angrily.
He's still so kind. Angeldust thought, feeling awful for how he talked to the Cat demon the last time they hung out.
Angel corssed his arms, and tilted his head up.
"Well, I'm still mad at him." He stated sassily.
The shorter demon rolled her eye and groaned. She even facepalmed.
"I still say, you're overreacting. I'm an addict too Angie. Ya can't lie to someone's face, especially for as long as you did, wait for it to blow up in yours and then be pissed at them for being, upset about it." She said rationalizing the situation for the thousandth time.
Angeldust crossed his other set of arms and groaned. He didn't want to hear her stupid speech again.
"I thought you wer-"
She stood up and walked into her room grabbed her 3/4ths of a joint and a lighter and walked back out. As she lit it. She sat on her couch again and blew out the smoke.
"Hey! I am on your side! I told him you weren't here. He didn't even ask bout you, he just wanted ya to have ya phone." She stated, passing Angeldust the joint, she played devil's advocate a lot. Though usually, the devil she was advocating for was Angie. She wasn't gonna give him the satisfaction of knowing Husk asked how he was.
Angel's face softened. The issue was; he didn't know what his feelings were. Yet, he wanted what he thought were his emotions validated. So this conversation was one the duo had often. He put the joint between his lips, and took a couple puffs off of it, blowing the smoke out before he spoke.
"So I don't get to be ma-"
"You aren't even mad at him!!" She yelled facepalming. "Your mad that you got cought. AND ya upset cuz, your addiction costed you your relationship. Both of those things are on you, babe." She stated.
The spider rolled his eyes, he hated that she knew his feelings better than he did. The whole time. He just thought he was pissed off at himself and Husk, but the reality was exactly as Cherribomb stated. Usually their conversation didn't get this far cause Angeldust would storm off not wanting to hear it.
He was mad at himself for leaving his drugs lying around. He was upset that his actions made him lose one of only two people and a damn pig, that were keeping him from running in front of an exorcist's spear on extermination day.
When he thought nuggets was going to get run over he saw his entire world crash around him. You can call it over dramatic, but in Angel's mind he had nothing else to live for.
He passed the joint back to Cherribomb and she took it. It was silent for a moment. She took a few hits before passing it back to Angeldust. She held the smoke in her lungs for as long as she could and exhaled.
"You got every right to be upset but, you cannot blame him for your mistakes. I mean com'on Angie, if it was Val that was, that pissed at you-" she cut herself off, running and hand through her hair at the thought, she chewed her lip nervously.
"You had a damn good thing goin'." She sighed unable to finish speaking her thoughts. "How many of your boyfriends did I actually like?" She asked.
Angeldust looked down and sighed, he played with his fingers.
"Just, Husk." He mumbled quietly. Though, saying it made a slight smile pull at his lips.
She made a "duhh" face. They continued chatting and Cherri was just glad Angel actually fuckin listened to what the hell she's been saying this time.
Maybe I should talk to him. Angeldust thought to himself.
