A few days later Anthony finally convinced Husk to let him set up the V-box. They were sat on the couch playing a game of mortal combat. Anthony was teaching him the controls.

"I normally just press random buttons and see what happens but, don't tell the hoes that. I'll lose every time, if they find out." He laughed.

Husk chuckled. "Is that why you choose the same character every time?"

He nodded. "I actually know what buttons to press for dat." He admitted.

"If you want a list of combinations press this button, At any point."

Husk raised an eyebrow. "How am I supposed to read all that and not get my ass handed to me?" He groaned.

Anthony laughed and facepalmed shaking his head.

"It paused the game, stupid." He nudged the cat demon.

"I'm old, not stupid!" He pushed the spider back.

Anthony continued laughing. Husk was playing the story mode so he got a feel for all of the characters. A step Anthony clearly didn't do. He was currently playing as D'vora.

He grimaced as she stabbed the cpu with her stinger, as he pressed the bumpers for the X-ray

"OH GOD!" he laughed.

Anthony was laughing so hard and clapping. He groaned as his phone buzzed every five seconds. Husk sighed, and took a sip of his booze.

The phone began to ring. The spider also sighed and answered the call.

His eyes rolling as the moth screamed the second he pressed the green button. Luckily his phone wasn't to his ear yet. The cat demon scowled. He did his best to hold back the angry sounds. He was completely shocked that, Anthony let anybody talk to him how Valentino does.

Anthony rolled his eyes, he put the phone to his ear as the moth's voice got quieter.

"Yeah, I'll be there." He sighed rolling his eyes. "Yep, bout a half hour. Yeah, bye."

Husk frowned one of his eyebrows raised. He took another sip from his booze.

"You're leavin? After he talked to you like that-"

Anthony groaned. "I don't have a choice Husky. You know dis. I've been dancing on a wire not showing up, for as long as I've been." He stated.

Husk nodded. He wrapped his arms and wings around the spider and sighed. "Well, I'll be here when you come back. Please be careful." The winged cat demon kissed the top of the spider's head.

Anthony chuckled. "I know baby-cakes. I'll be fine." He assured. "Ya mind driving me, I rather not take my car, after last time I took off."

It was pretty reasonable. Husk agreed. They got in the car and went off to the studio.

He told Val thirty minutes but, they got there in fifteen. So the couple, stopped at a cafe down the street for a while. They ate donuts in Husk's car. Husk had one hand on Anthony's thigh comfortingly. "Anything happens lemme know. I'll come get you." He assured.

The spider smiled. "I know, Husky." He assured. He really didn't want to go in but, if he was absent from work any longer Val might actually come after him. After they finished eating their donuts Anthony got out of the car and walked to work. The cat demon drove down the block, that turned into a different alley, basically making a u turn so he didn't have to pass the studio a second time.

Husk went back home got himself another bottle of booze and cuddled up with Fat Nuggets who was seemingly sad that he returned alone. The pig was still happy to see Husk though.

Many many hours later

Anthony had two options right now. It was nearly six in the morning. From the amounts of texts he's been getting from the group chat he knew Husk was worried. He had every reason to be. Anthony was not okay in the slightest.

Everything in his body told him to call Cherribomb, and not let Husk see him like this. He didn't listen to that voice this time.

Husk answered the phone on the first ring. He got in his car as soon as he heard Anthony sobbing. He brought Fat Nuggets with him, as the pig was frantically wandering around the house for the spider all night, Husk couldn't leave the pig like that.
