"What?" She turned around again to look forward and gasped. The silhouette of a big castle against the upcoming sun took her breath away.

"Wow." She couldn't keep her sign of awe in and she felt him laugh softly behind her.

He brought his head closer and whispered in her ear.

"Welcome to your new home, my love." Even this stupid nicknames from him couldn't replace all her awe for anger. She'd seen castles before, sure. She was even born in a castle. But this castle was different.

It was giantic. Colorful ivy decorated the black walls that must surround the inner courtyard, one of the towers was even completely covered in it. Around the castle's outer courtyard was another wall, for extra protection. It would be hard to escape from the castle, like she'd predicted. And even if she'd escape, she still had the second wall to pass.

Everything she saw was totally build out of black stones. Expensive. She could even see glass in some windows. This man must be some wealthy guy. She started to fear her captor even more. If he was this rich, and he came for her personally... This wasn't good. If a man like him wanted something, he'd sent his henchmen. Speaking of wich, he surely had enough. The castle seemed heavely guarded, knights everywhere. She shivered when they reached the grand omnious black gates of the outer wall.

He must have noticed, because his arm slipped around her waist and he pulled her softly against his chest, in what could have been a reassuring manner. "Honey, no need to be afraid right now. We'll save all that fun for later." They crossed the second gate.

"I'm not afraid of you, you..." She searched her mind for the best word to insult him that wouldn't bring her into any more trouble. "...onion." They crossed the courtyard now, in the direction of two grand double doors. Also black, she noticed.

"Onion? Seriously, that is the best you can do?" He shook his head in mild amusement while he stopped the horse. He reached around her and undid her bindings, giving her a unwelcome hug.

"Well, too bad you're not afraid, honey. Cause you know..." His lips moved against her ear, giving her goosebumps. "Onions are known to make you cry."

And with that he jumped down, leaving her speachless on the horse.

Before she could recover enough to say something, the big doors slammed open and a little girl came running towards them. She already started yelling from a distance.

"Ashe, finally! Welcome home!"

For a second he looked very pissed when the girl called him by his name but he hid it well. He quickly lifted Cassandra from the horse, pushing her in the direction of two of his men.

"They'll bring you to your room." Then he lowered his voice to a dangerous level.

"Don't try anything stupid, cause I'll make you regret it."

She narrowed her eyes at him, but smiled sweetly. She felt safe now a little girl was rushing towards them.

"Sure, honey. I wouldn't even dare. See you later, Ashe." She turned around, managing to twirl out of his reach before he could grab her again and half walked, half stumbled away, escorted by the two men. In the corner of her eye she saw him ball his hands, but then the little girl reached him and he focussed on her with a smile on his lips.

She would pay for this later, she knew, but round one was for her.
