The next day I woke up. Hoping that everything that happened was just a nightmare but it wasn't. Everyone surrounded Rick and daddy started explaining to us what was going to happen. I wasn't listening I was thinking about my dream. It was like the one I had during my nap but so much worse. I was suddenly knocked back to reality. "Keep an eye on Carl and Jas while we're gone?" Rick asked Dale.
"I'm not staying! I'm helping! Also you can't make these decisions!" I yelled
"I didn't, I was asking for your dad." Rick explained and I felt like I had been betrayed.
"I'm going with you. You need people, right? To cover as much ground as possible." Carl told his parents.
They groaned."Your call. I can't always be the bad guy." Lori told Rick.
I decided to go talk to my dad. I walked off before I could find out if Carl was coming. "I'm coming with you" I told my dad as I walked up to him.
"No. No you're not. Nothing is going to happen to you!" He yelled.
"If you leave me here, I'll go by myself!" I told him and he knew I would.
"You're all I got left! Nothing can happen to you!" He told me
"Nothing's going to happen to me! I'll be with you!" I replied.
"You're all I've got left. Just stay here and be good!" He started whispering. "Go to Dale! Now!" He told me and I stomped off.
I'm going to go anyway. I got over to Dale and I smiled. "He said I could go!" I told him. "So you won't have to watch me."
"Okay then." Dale replied while working on the RV. Everyone was leaving but I had to wait a little bit otherwise daddy will catch me. "Wait at lease 5 minutes"
I started laughing. "How'd you know?" I asked.
"You gave it away with your stomping. Then the waiting." He replied and I looked at my shoes. "I'll tell them that you told me you could go and I though that it was true because Carl could go."
So I sat down and waited for a little bit. When I thought that it was long enough I got on my feet and grabbed my bag. "I'm going now" I told Dale and he gave me a little nod.
I smiled and ran into the woods. I tried to track them but I realised that I was going in a circle. I started walking normally until I heard a church bell. If I've heard it that means the group would of heard it or it might be them. So I ran to the church but no one was there. I looked around for a little bit but there was nothing. I didn't want to go inside because who knows what could be in there. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" I heard my dad yell, I turned around to look at him.
"I told you that if you leave me, I would go by myself." I replied calmly, he sighed.
"You warned me." He muttered and I smiled. "Have you been inside?"
"No. I didn't want to just in case" I replied
"Good. Stay here!" He told me so I walked backwards to Glenn.
He wrapped an arm around me. "Trouble maker." He whispered and I had to put my hand over my mouth to try and hide my laugh.
Daddy, Rick and Shane went inside to kill the walkers. "SOPHIA!" Daddy yelled and I jumped.
"I'm telling you! It's the wrong church" Shane told Rick "It's got no steeple" but the bells went off again.
We all ran outside but Glenn broke it. It was on a fucking timer! "For fuck sake!" I whispered.
Everyone slowly went back in but I couldn't. I hide and cried. I couldn't let them see me like this. I was a mess! I suddenly heard Shane and Lori talking. Shane was leaving. It took everything not to say yes! It's not that I don't like Shane, it's more because I don't trust him. I then heard Andrea start talking to him- she wanted to go with Shane. Everyone slowly started coming out of the church and they stopped talking. I got up and started to walk over when I saw a walker. I whistled to get it attention because it was looking at everyone else. I grabbed my knife from my pocket and walked over to it. I kicked it in the knee, it fell so I stabbed it. I carried on stabbing it way past death, I couldn't stop. "Jas! What are you doing?" Glenn asked pulling me away from the walker.
I hadn't realised I was crying. I shrugged to answer Glenn's question and he pulled me close to him, we walked over to the others. "I want to stay to." Carl stated.
"Me too" I told them walking away from Glenn.
"I'm her friend." Carl reminded them.
"Just be careful okay?" Lori asked him.
"I will" Carl reassured Lori.
"When did you start growing up?" Lori asked herself and hugged Carl, then Rick
"Can I go?" I asked Rick and Shane.
"It's up to your dad" Shane told me.
"Dad?" I asked him sweetly.
"Does it even matter if I say no?" He replied and I shook my head. "She can go" I hugged him.
"Promise you'll be good?"
"Promise, daddy." I them ran to Glenn and gave him a hug before running over to Carl, Rick and Shane.
We followed Rick to the church. We sat on the steps while he said his prayers. I sat next to Carl. "We're going to find her" Carl whispered to me.
"I know" I replied
"Good" He muttered.
Rick came out of the church and walked past us. "Get what you needed?" Shane asked him.
"Guess I'll find out" Rick answered and we followed him.
Carl tried to grab my hand but I pulled it away. "I don't want to lose you too!" Carl told me.
"I don't want to lose you either" I whispered and gave him my hand.
He held it, my left hand in his right one. We carried on walking. We heard branches snap so Shane made us go to the back it could be anything but it was only just a deer. Carl was mesmerised by it and he pulled me along. I've seen deers before but I've never been this close to a live one. I didn't pull back as he was walking along. I wanted to see it. It was staring at us when we heard the gun shot. I quickly push Carl out of the way but it meant that I got hit... Love means sacrifice. "Carl..." I whispered before I blacked out.
