We were driving but we suddenly stopped, Rick and Shane got out and had a discussion. I knew that it was important so I stayed in the car. I didn't want to impose on their conversation. I sat just thinking about everything and nothing. From where I was sitting I could see the boy, I felt sorry for him but I knew that it was for the best.
Shane and Rick got back into the car and we started driving again. Rick was making plans with Shane about winter. Maybe he was talking to me too but I wasn't listening.
We stopped again. This time it was to drop off the boy. I just sat in the car until I got the all clear to come out. Which I did, a few seconds after they killed two walkers. I started looking around the place, I wanted to make sure that this place was safe for him. It wouldn't be fair otherwise. I had to stay away from him because I would of started crying. I sat in the car while they were sorting things out.
My thoughts were interrupted by a gun shot. I got out of the car and ran over to them. They started fighting. I tried to stop them but I got hit in the face. The pain was unbearable. I felt a hot liquid flow down my face and into my mouth. I could taste metal. I heard glass shatter and my feet went towards the sound. But my brain didn't do anything until it saw the walkers. I grabbed my gun and shot at the closest walker. I shot until my gun ran out of bullets when I grabbed my knife. I ran to the car but a walker grabbed my leg. I fell face first into a car, blood started to fill my eyes as well. I stabbed the walker in the head as well as I could. The hand let go of my leg, I got up and walked to the car. I got in and laid on the back seat. The pain was over whelming. I closed my eyes and prayed (for the first time ever) that the pain would go away.
Rick and the boy suddenly came into the car. The boy started driving while Rick hung out of the window. I tried to wipe the blood out of my eyes but it just kept coming. I tried to keep my eyes open but my mind didn't allow it so I fell asleep.I woke up a while after the attack. I got up to go find my dad because I missed him so much, I hadn't seen him since before we left. "Hey, it's good to see that you're up." Glenn said waking past me.
"What happened to that boy?" I asked.
"He's in the barn with your dad." Glenn answered. I feared for his life so I ran as fast as I could to the barn. "Where are you going?"
I ran to the barn and I didn't expect to see Shane there. "Hey! You're not allowed to be here!" Shane yelled.
"What do you think my dad would do if he found out that you did this" I pointed at my bandage from where I was hit in the face. "to his only daughter? I don't think that your life would be worth living."
"Are you threatening me?!" Shane yelled, he lifted up his arm and I instinctively flinched. "I'll make sure that they all know that you're lying!"
"Hey! What's going on?" Dale asked walking over. He put his arm around me. "I hope that I'm seeing this situation wrong."
"What's it to you, Dale?" Shane asked.
Shane gave Dale a dirty look which inclined him to retaliate. "I'm only trying to protect the group." Me and Dale started to walk away. "What are your thought in the Randall situation?"
"He's not as bad as we're making it out! He was just trying to survive with those guys!" I answered getting very angry with the situation. "They don't care about him, he wasn't really apart of the group if they could leave him."
"Very well said." Dale said.
"I'm going to go see Carl now. Bye!" I yelled running off as he waved at me. "CARL!"
Carl started running towards me. "Follow me." He said as he grabbed my hand and lead me around the back of the barn.
We climbed in and sat on the top, just watching him until he noticed us. "Hey." He whispered, I realised that he hadn't seen me yet so I stayed hidden. "Thats a sweet hat, I'm Randall what's your name? Sherif guys- that your dad? I like him. Yeah he's a good guy. I can tell. Your mom out her too? You're- you're lucky you still got your family. I lost mine. Hey I- I don't know what people been saying about me, but I didn't do nothing. I swear. Your dad was going to let me go till his friend started fighting with him. It got pretty bad. I-- I was kind of worried. My camp, we got lots of supplies. You help me, I'll take you and your folks back to my people. We'll take good care of you. Keep you safe. Just gotta- just gotta help me out of here, okay? Just help me pick these locks or find the key, okay? Come on, please? Please?"
Suddenly Shane burst into the room, I quickly ran out of the back. I couldn't get into another argument with Shane. When Shane turned his back and Carl was walking in another direction. "Sorry that I just ran away." I whispered.
"It's fine, I'm glad that you didn't get into trouble. I dragged you along." He admitted. "I didn't realise that we would get into trouble. I've got to go."
Carl just ran off before I could say anything else. I decided to carry on with my search for my dad. He was up at his little camp, far far away from the group. "Do I have to stay up her with you?" I asked.
"What do you mean?" Dad asked.
"Do I have to say so far away from everyone else with you?" I asked. "It's just suck a big inconvenience."
"If you want you can stay with the rest of the group." Dad told me. "We've got to go to the meeting."
We started walking to Hershel's house. "I've got a lot to say at the meeting." I replied.
"You're not going to the meeting, you're gonna be upstairs with Carl." He muttered.
"What?! Why?!" I asked.
"Because this is adult stuff." He answered.
"So I'm allowed a gun but not a vote!" I yelled as we got to the door. "SO UNFAIR!"
I opened the door and ran upstairs. "Jasmine!" Dad called after me but I didn't answer, I waited for Carl to come up.
"This is so unfair." He muttered. We sat talking but I got up and went to the bottom of the stairs. They weren't gonna be paying attention to us now.
"Is anybody else gonna stand with me?" Dale asked.
I got up and walked over. "I am!" I replied.
"Go upstairs!" Dad ordered so I stormed off.
