CHAPTER 35

HAZEL'S POV

"Hazel!" Iris hugged me when she saw me crying outside this hospital. She's with her boyfriend Chase. "They're going to be fine."

"That Marco will do something on my boyfriend's life too if I didn't go with him. What should I do, Iris?"

They looked again at each other like they always do before saying anything to me. "I'm sorry. But I think you need to decide about that with yourself."

"I can't. I just want my real father to leave my life alone."

"Hazyyy, there is always a trial in everyone's life, you know what you need to do and what you want to do. You just have to choose, either to do the best for everyone around you or your happiness, temporarily." Chase meaningly said.

That got me thinking. My parents life and my boyfriend's life too is now depends on me? If I didn't go with him, Semi and I can't handle all the expences even if we get help from others, it will be a debt for us. He will also going to meddle in Omi's family, his kind hearted family that welcomed me without hesitation. But if I let him take me, their life will be back to normal with their company, they'll get better with Marco's help and Omi wouldn't have a problem while pursuing his future. In exchange of myself, can I do that? Can I sacrifice myself for their safety and future?

"So you're telling her that she will not be happy if she choose to stay with us?" we were surprised when Semi appeared behind me. "Huh, Chase?"

"You know him?" I asked Semi. He looks mad ... at them.

"S-Semi.." Iris stared at him.

"You guys knows each other?" what is happening? Yea, I think they're all at the same age. But how?

Semi took my hand. "Let's go. The doctors are calling us."

I followed him to walked inside. "O-okay-"

"Semi!" Chase stopped us. "Let her choose what she want and-"

"Don't order me around." Semi faced him. "I'm her older brother, I will choose what's best for her and what will make her happy, even if it will take all I have. That's what a sibling will do."

"You know what is going to happen in the end, why don't you-" Chase.

"Why don't I trust you and Iris? Why would I trust a liar, Chase." Semi.

"S-Semi .. please, it's for her own safety-" Iris.

"Shut up. You can't be so sure if she will be safe there. I truly care about my sister, I'm not like you-" Semi.

"Semi! Stop right there." Chase.

'Okay, what's going on here? What and who are they talking about? Should I join their convo or not?'

Iris looks hurt by Semi's words then she held Chase's arm. "Chase, let's give them some time."

"Tss. Let's go Haze." Semi turns around and left. I looked at them and they nodded to me before I followed Semi.

"What's going on, Semi? Why do you know them and what about-"

"Haze, our parents need us right now." He faced me and pats my head while forcing himself to smile. "Can you forget about that for now? Please?"

I sighed. "Yea, for our parents. But can you tell me about it later?"

"Can I not? Hehe."

"Semi?!"

"Haha fine fine. I'll think about it."

"Ehh??? Just tell me-"

"I don't want to remember all the pain Haze." he's serious now and look sad.
