  I sprint towards her house taking a deep breath when I'm far enough away and I fall into a jog. I would be free and clear as long as Carter doesn't wake up, if he does it's game over.
 
  Talk about a killjoy who ruins everything. I'm not sure how or when I'm meant to start loving him but it's not anytime soon. To me he's an annoying big brother who does nothing but stick his nose into my business. I'm not sure how it's ever going to work in the future.
 
  I make it to the party just as the crowd starts to pile in. I wave at my friends and they squeal running to me
 
  "You got out, you got out?"
 
  Janey jumps around giggling, I roll my eyes at her but I can't help but smile as she links her arm with mine
 
  "Yes and it took forever"
 
  "Who cares you're here now, come let's get a drink. Luke's here"
 
  I smile blushing slightly at Jessie, she was our more popular friend and half the time I don't even know why she was friends with me.
 
  Luke has been my crush for a while now. My parents say I'm not allowed to even kiss a boy and I haven't because Daniel has made sure of it. But this party is the first time I managed to ditch both Carter and Daniel so you never know tonight may be the night.
 
  "Really? How do I look? Do I look ok?"
 
  I ask them, I hadn't put all that much effort into my appearance but the thought of Luke seeing me looking like shit really didn't sound like the best way to tell him I liked him
 
  "You look perfect, the boy will drop at your feet"
 
  We giggle heading inside the house and straight for the keg of beer in the middle of the living area. We fill some glasses as I spot Luke talking to some boys across the room. He smiles at me and waves me over. I blush walking towards him, he ditches the guys and walks up to me. My hands were so clammy, I was full of nerves as he looks at me, he had one of those dazzling bad boy smiles that no girl could resist, certainly not me anyway.
 
  "Where's the boys?"
 
  "Home, I managed to ditch them"
 
  His eyes light up and he smiles looking down my body. He was beautiful. Shaggy curly blonde hair, he wasn't that tall and not very muscular but his teeth were straight, his face was so symmetrical and his brown eyes were bright and alive. He runs his hand down my arm taking my hand in his. I smile, his hands were so soft. He lifts my hand and he kisses it.
 
  "You wanna go upstairs?"
 
  My heart starts to hammer in my chest, do I want to go upstairs? What can we do up there that we can't do down here? Seeing my hesitation he smiles stepping closer
 
  "Come on you trust me don't ya? It's to noisy down here"
 
  He says signaling the room around us, I chew my bottom lip and nod my head. He's always so sweet to me? What harm could it really do?
 
  "Good, come on"
 
  He pulls me through the crowd of people, the girls give me a thumbs up as nerves consume me. Something deep inside me is telling me to leave and go home but the teenager in me wants to fall at his feet and fan my face because he's so darn dreamy.
 
  I noticed everyone watching me as we passed, some looked concerned, others looked encouraging. We make it upstairs and he walks past a few doors finally entering a free one. It's Jessie's sister's roses room, She's only 6 so it's all pink, fairy lights and unicorns. He pulls me towards the small single bed and I plop down beside him sitting on the baby pink fairy throw. He smiles at me looking into my eyes.
 
  "You have no idea how long i've wanted to do this"
 
  He tells me, my cheeks heat at the compliment
 
  "Really? I didn't think you liked me that much"
 
  He shrugs, running his finger down my cheek and grasping my chin.
 
  "Your beautiful Carly. I just stay away because you always have your guard and douchebag brother with you"
 
  I frown shaking my head, my insides churning in annoyance
 
  "Don't call him that"
 
  "What he is"
 
  I shake my head
 
  "No he's just misunderstood. Can we talk about something else"
 
  "Why don't we not talk?"
 
  He cocks his eyebrow in the air, grabbing my hand and yanking it towards his crotch. I pull it away
 
  "What the hell!"
 
  Shock hits me, then disgust and then anger! What kind of girl does he think I am? Who the hell did he think he was?
 
  "Come on do it for me"
 
  He pulls my hand back and he pushes it against him harder. I growl, ripping it away. He growls back pushing me down against the bed and he smashes his lips against mine kissing me.
 
  I cry out trying to push him off. This felt wrong. So wrong.
 
  I push him of but it wasn't working so I turn my head away from his so I could breath
 
  "Get off before I burn you"
 
  I say through gritted teeth. He growls not listening so I heat my skin up and I light my hands on fire and I push him off me with all my strength. He screams hitting the wall hard, clutching at his stomach where I burned him. Tears run down my cheek.
 
  "What the fuck Luke why would you do that!"
 
  "Your a fucking tramp what have you done to me"
 
  He charges for me, taking me by the throat. I scream, grabbing his arm and burning him again. He drops me so I swing open the door and I run down the stairs crying only to freeze when I make it to the living room where Jessie and janey stood with huge grins on their faces and a remote in their hand watching the entire thing on the tv.
 
  My entire world feels like it's spins on its axes, everything I thought I new was a lie, they had planned this and suddenly I could see it all, there sudden desperation to get me here, why tonight was so important, I felt sick, physically ill.
 
  They were meant to be my best friends? Why would they do this? Luke comes running down the stairs and straight for the living room
 
  "Why?"
 
  I shout at them. My heart broke into tiny little pieces as they stood around me laughing
 
  "Why? You mean why not? Oh come on you didn't think we were actually your friends did you? We were there for the perks only, the shopping for free, free meals, free everything and it was great because we didn't need to go out with you or anything. Well until tonight and that's when we had enough."
 
  Just then the door burst open and in piles 3 large wolves and 7 smaller ones all of them growling. The biggest one at the front of the pack started to shift and there stood Carter in all his naked glory he growled pouncing on Luke and taking him by the throat and lifting him into the air with one hand.
 
  Carter was huge, he worked out everyday, constantly trained in both wolf form and human form
 
  "MINE"
 
  He snarls loudly, silencing the room immediately. I feel as his aura wash over everyone, putting the fear in them and making them tremble. For once in my life I was glad to see him, thankful that I had him.
 
  "How dare you touch what's MINE! How dare you do this to her."
 
  He brings him down closer to his face, Carter was angrier than I've ever seen him ever. He looks at me, I'm frozen in place watching the scene play out.
 
  "Are you ok?"
 
  No I'm not ok, but I couldn't let them see that. My eyes water but I nod, putting my head down slightly in shame.
 
  "EVERYONE HERE NEEDS TO BE OUTSIDE MY HOUSE AT 6am TOMORROW MORNING."
 
  He spreads the command out so it hits every single member of the pack that is there but he freezes looking back to luke
 
  "No fucking way, your going to pay for what you have done to MY MATE! MY FUCKING MATE! MINE SHE IS MINE!"
 
  He roars. Luke starts to tremble.
 
  "Everyone here is my witness, you are dying for your sins against my mate"
 
  He drops him like a bag of potatoes on the floor
 
  "Get up and meet me at my house at 6am with both of your parents. Go inform them right NOW!"
 
  He lays on the ground trembling looking at Carter's feet as he pushes his entire aura over him, he pees himself. Carter growls kicking him in the gut
 
  "I didn't fucking hear you!"
 
  "Yyyyyyyyyes aaaalpphhhaaaa"
 
  Carter looks to Jessie and janey
 
  "I want your parents present too and I need all of the copies of that footage"
 
  Jessie trembles, lifting her arm and pulling the hard drive from the tv and handing it over to Carter. He turns coming to my side and grabbing my arm
 
  "Everyone go home NOW!"
 
  He pulls me towards the door, I drag my feet in fear. I'd never seen him this pissed off before and it scared me. He yanks me outside and he growls
 
  "Do you fucking blame me! Do you know how painful it is when you cheat on your mate"
