  I look to Carter, he shrugs
 
  "It's up to you, test her and if you think we can trust her then I'm ok with your decision"
 
  "What about the rest of them? What happens if any of them need to die? Will you turn on us then?"
 
  "You won't need to, they are worthy of their powers, they tried to stop him but the young ones followed him blindly even when the elders begged them not to, the younger ones are the ones I would be worried about, the elders will understand"
 
  "Stand back, I'll test you"
 
  She does as she is told, taking a step back and rolling her shoulders. I pull on my power, it's still very much at the surface, still filtering Carter's power. I release it from my fingertips after it flows down my arms, tickling the nerves on its way through, bringing my body to life and giving me a boost of energy.
 
  As it leaves me lynn gasps, never having seen my power in person before. her eyes never leave it as it twirls around her smoothly, adding to her aura, playing with her before it slips in through her lips, her eyes, nose and ears, smooth like a snake as her body becomes mine, her memories, feelings and dreams all adding to my own as she becomes a part of me.
 
  I filter through her past, her memories of her and her brother, she was right. He definitely thought of women as an object to be ordered instead of respected. It's the reason he decided to take us girls instead of some of the boys.
 
  She listened to her brother even when she didn't agree with him, she wanted to talk up but she knew there was no use. I watched her try and fail to connect to him on more than one occasion but he didn't care or listen.
 
  I think of him dead, I want to see what her true reaction would be. It's definitely an act first think later reaction, her life would be a lot easier without her brother, but she still loved him, her mind flitting back to the many nightmares she had as a small child and in every instance her brother came to help her, to make her feel safe. He loved her in his own way and she loved him the same.
 
  I pull on her reactions and I change them, I change them so when we catch him and when we kill him that she will mourn for the loss but not retaliate. I allow her to keep her fight, like her passion that her brother has the ability to change. But I give her acceptance, acceptance that if he does die it's for a good reason, that we don't kill blindly, we don't do it for power but only for the safety of the world and the people who live in it.
 
  I do the same for each of her family members and when I'm done I pull back to recheck everything to see her reactions this time and just as I planned she begs for his mercy, for her entire family's mercy but when they die she accepts it, mourns and moves on without retaliation.
 
  Next I look at her loyalty, if she wishes to stay here she needs to be loyal to us and the pack. She needs to bend the knee. If she and her family do that they can stay here, if they can't they die but under no circumstances can we allow someone so powerful to walk free with revenge on their mind. But luckily she takes all of these things and accepts them as her own. Allowing me to change the very biological makeup that makes her who she is.
 
  I pull my power from her, leaving a tiny shred so I can check on her thoughts and feelings at any point, to make sure she hasn't figured out how to go backwards but I wouldn't tell her about that.
 
  I take my power back in, she takes a breath of fresh air as I pull it back into myself and I watch her. She frowns looking around, moving her fingers and toes.
 
  "You didn't take my love for him?"
 
  She asks confused. To do what I did with primordial gifts I would have had to have taken the love that they share, but thankfully I'm not only a primordial.
 
  "I know, you will report to Luke from now on, he will set you up with work and a place to stay. You will be monitored invasively over the next few months, I'm not sure if the rest of your family will pass the test but you have, if they pass they will meet you at your new home."
 
  I pull on my command for the next bit.
 
  "For now you can't leave the pack lands without an escort, Luke will deal with that too"
 
  She frowns as carter steps forward and he opens the cell doors
 
  "Just like that? I'm just free to go?"

  She nods, walking to where we were going next. So far we had 9 primordial prisoners in our custody, including lynn. The rest were the older generations of the pack, the younger ones went on the run with Levi.
 
  After she says her goodbyes I spend the afternoon checking each and every one of them. By the end of it all we had agreed to let all 9 live, mostly because they were almost on death's door and the others were worthy of their powers.
 
  They were pretty nice people and I'm sure they will fit into pack life with ease. As pissed as I was that they took me, by the end of checking them all out I felt happy that we could save the future of all primordial's. We were a dying breed and we had to support each other so our numbers would grow and not drop and slowly die off.
 
  As I step into mums house she's running around like a mad woman, the smell of her special pot roast and biscuits makes me moan.

  I ask as she stresses out with the ice cream maker

  He groans clearly in pain with his decision to bring her here already.

  Luke turns and leaves then he comes back in holding lynns hand. Everyone goes quiet as she nervously walks into the lion's den.

  Jaxon growls going to mums side

  Scott snaps going to mums other side, her face falls as she looks at Lynn, taking a breath she steps forward just as luke goes to turn

  Dad shouts, she ignores him and looks to me and Carter
 
  "I'm guessing you both freed her"
 
  "Yes, she was to get a job with luke and he was to set her up in a house. Same with the rest of them. They all passed the tests"
 
  She nods then smiles at lynn stepping towards her, Lynn jumps behind luke like a little puppy terrified of his new owner. Mum ignores it and she takes her hand
 
  "Come on, I went to a huge effort and want us all to try it"
 
  "Lucy please don't"
 
  Scott pleads with her
 
  "No scott, she was cleared to join the pack so that means she's at least a decent person who made a mistake"

  I say calmly, Ashley grumbles as lynn looks to me in surprise, probably thinking I'd be the difficult one. Ashley takes the last step mumbling something under her breath and rolling her eyes

  She marches over to a very stiff mark who welcomes her in his arms gratefully, she pulls him around the table so they are sitting beside us, mark was definitely finding it hard to stay in control so Ashley sits on him. I do the same with carter as everyone else slowly takes their seats.
