  Gia looks completely overwhelmed, her face was flushed and her heart was thumping in her chest. I frown reaching for her head. She looks like she's dazed. As I touch her I gasp, the pain in her head brings a tear to my eye
 
  "Gia, how long have you had that headache?"
 
  I put my drink down and I go to her
 
  "Aw that's normal, iv always got it"
 
  She looks guilty as she says it, I look at mum, that was a weird way to say it, that's not no normal headache. I close my eyes and investigate more.
 
  Her mind is like a whirlpool, I'd never seen anything like it before. Like she was trapped in hell when her body looks so normal. It's painful as I push through the horrors of her mind.
 
  I had been in her mind before and it was nothing like this then, it's like something inside her collapsed, the true horrors of her head coming into view.
 
  I feel mum join her mind, I feel the resistance as we push through. As I do image after image hits me. A life she once led. someone had created a barrier in her brain, one so intricate and solid that I could get lost in it. I could get lost in it for forever. I gasp as I enter the center of her mind, she's lied to us.
 
  My heart shattered as I heard her planning to infiltrate our pack, become one of us. A woman who looked like a witch from a horror movie talked to a coven of other witches, Gia was part of that coven and she was strong, far stronger than any Iv ever come across before.
 
  This family went back generations, the power was old and dark, she held very little of it but together with her coven they could do awful things. Including becoming friends with me and Carter.
 
  she could block us all from her mind but something inside her was shaking the foundations of the barrier and making her sick. If I hadn't touched her, her plans could have gone ahead. They could hide from us in the future. They want Carter, they know the only way to get him is if they get me. If they do,  the things his power would do could end the world.
 
  I gasp as Carter pulls me off her. Dads pull mum off her next, her nose was bleeding and so was her eyes as Carter glares at Gia the black tendrils rise within him as mum coughs and splutters. Daniel looked like he was about to pass out.
 
  "How could you"
 
  He whispers to her, his face deathly white. She froze, coming to herself as she took a step back.
 
  "Please daniel I didn't know you then, I had no idea I would fall in love—"
 
  "—-no don't you fucking dare try to excuse this!"
 
  I was so confused, how did he see what I saw?
 
  "We touched you"
 
  Carter says through gritted teeth. I nod not sure what to say or where to look.
 
  "You wanted to kill her! You want her dead so he gets her powers and then you lot take it to do heaven knows what! Then kill him"
 
  Mum spits as dad grabs her, the thought of Carter dying makes my power surge forward, the white mist surrounds her, crawling up her skin, my power tickled my insides as rage took over, Carter's power comes forward and joins mine, the anger radiates of him and me both, in waves through the air rippling and making the room thick with tension. Our power slips in her nose and mouth, ears and eyes and we get it all, we take her mind, her power and her memories then we take her life.
