  They hesitate at Carter's words looking at their parents in fear. but their parents push them forward and they come to stand at the front. Carter growls, silencing the chatter. I watch as black mist comes from his fingertips spreading out and into Luke first. It surrounds him, swirling around like a tornado. The crowd gasps, stepping back as Luke is immobilised on the spot with his head back and his mouth left open. The black mist enters in through his mouth and nose until there is nothing left.
 
  "Tell the crowd of your intentions last night"
 
  Luke was like a zombie; he stood up straight looking at the crowd.
 
  "I wanted to fuck her and record it to embarrass her. But she didn't want to so I tried to force her. I wanted to force her."
 
  Carter's body goes rigid and he growls, the nose is laced with darkness as the dark tendrils rise up his chest and to his neck. They come down his arms spreading out.
 
  "You. Would. Do. That. To. My. Queen"
 
  "Yes, like i've done to others"
 
  I watch his parents as they catch their chests, completely horrified by what their son is saying. I look to janey who's chin is wobbling, Jessie doesn't seem to care. Something inside me told me to raise my arms, the urge taking over and making me sweat so I do it. And suddenly something stirs to life within me, Cleo pushes it forwards it crawls through my body and tickles my insides. I gasp as a white mist comes from my fingertips. It moves on its own accord as everyone gasps watching me including Carter and my parents. All look as baffled as I feel.
 
  But the urge told me to push my own mist out, hitting both Janey and Jessie's aura, surrounding them like Carter's did. My fingertips vibrate as the mist hits them. It's like I can feel them as it moves around them trapping them to the spot. The power takes my breath away as I force the mist In through their mouths and into their body, I could feel their hearts beating like it was in my own chest. Anything the mist hit felt like it was a part of me. My body welcomes the power and magic within them.
 
  "Janey, what was your part in this? Why did you take part"
 
  It was like I could feel the answer before she even talked.
 
  "He blackmailed me. He did the same to me. Told me to take part or he would post it. I didn't want to hurt the queen. I didn't want to hurt anyone"
 
  I growl ferociously, how many more had he blackmailed? I look to jessi next
 
  "Jessie what was your part in this? Why did you do it?"
 
  "I record it because we like to watch them after. We like to blackmail others with the footage. He is my mate and I would do anything to make him happy. But it makes me happy too. It makes me feel powerful when I can control other people"
 
  I growl anger taking over. I feel every vein in my body bubble and burn as a fire from deep within me bubbles up taking over. Hate hardens my heart as I glare at the pair.
 
  "I sentence you to death for your sins"
 
  Everyone gasps, her parents scream as I fist my hand and twist following the urge within me. As I release my hands again her body explodes in every direction in tiny little pieces. Her parents scream as everyone else watches me in shock as they are all hit with lumps of Jessie's flesh. It was like a bomb went off inside her, the force ripping her to shreds.
 
  "Janey you are free to leave but you will be on border patrol for a month. you won't ever do anything like this again. You will come straight to the alpha if anyone ever touches you again and he will deal with it."
 
  As I talk the mist from Jessie comes back to me, filling me up as Janeys slowly leaves her coming back to me too. Her parents wait with their arms open wide. She falls into them hugging them. She turns to look at me.
 
  "I'm sorry for what I put you through. I never wanted to hurt you. I will take my punishment and I hope in the future you will be able to forgive me. Thank you for letting the truth go free"
 
  I nod without saying anything. She turns back to her parents as they pull her into their chests and hold her as they turn their attention to Carter who is obviously still in shock but he shakes it off looking at Luke.
 
  "I sentence you to death for your crimes against my queen"
 
  He flicks his arm pulling the other towards his chest and suddenly his head falls off his shoulders. His parents scream as Carter whistles and the wolves come and drag him away.
 
  "If anyone hurts the queen again. I don't care what age you are, if you commit treason you will be punished accordingly. The rest of you will run the inner border until you collapse. The only ones excused are Janey, Ashley, Tanner, Lucas, Sarah, ted, Logan, Colton, emma, Barney, Denny and Julie. You are innocent or have been victimised. If anything like this happens again come to the alpha and Luna who will deal with this discreetly. You are dismissed and those running the border will not attend school"
 
  His mist enters his body as he talks and he turns to me wiping Jessie's flesh from my cheek. He looked worried but I felt like a zombie, like I was dazed. My brain was trying to explain what happened, explain how it happened. He wraps his arm around my shoulders and he leads us inside but stops by Dale and his daughter Lexi.
 
  "You weren't even at the party and you had absolutely no knowledge of this Lexi so you are not being punished"
 
  Her and Dale take a sigh of relief as mum smiles squeezing Lexis shoulders
 
  "Come on, I think pancakes are in order. Training can wait for another day"
 
  She side eyes me smiling as Carter pulls me into the house. He brings me to the kitchen, setting me on a chair. He turns and gets a damp cloth and he wipes my face with it. He's so soft and gentle. I felt like I was sedated on the spot. When he is done washing me he pulls me to the table and sits down pulling me onto his knee. I put my head in the crook of his neck as my brain tries to process what just happened.

  Carter's POV
 
  All this time I've held her powers back so she could have the childhood she deserves to have. She has had full access to them since she was a baby, like me she never had to unlock them but the moment she was born her powers became mine, taking hers to protect her and give her the childhood she deserved.
 
  But what I wasn't expecting was for her powers to push through me and return to her when her wolf arrived and our Ailm Mark's appeared. The thing is with power comes responsibility, responsibility makes you grow up faster than you are meant to. But she somehow accessed them without my permission and they showed her what to do. Giving her the urge to use that power and take a life so she could add to her own.
 
  It was like my power claimed her without my permission, welcoming her into its arms and hugging her tight. But I wasn't sure she was ready for it. The way her body went into shock scared me but I'm the only one that can relate to her. The only one that can help her deal with what she just did. My love for her overpowers everything my parents have ever said. I didn't care if they were in the same room. She was mine and I was hers so I cleaned her and pulled her onto my knee. She pulled herself into the crook of my neck, wrapping her arms around me and holding onto me tight. I close my eyes and enjoy the feeling for a moment. Her hot breath fans my neck, almost making me moan. She kisses the skin, sucking it into her mouth.
 
  Now that she has her power she will feel the full connection that we have. Mix that with the Ailm marks that now rest on the palm of our hands nothing would get between us. Not even our parents. I hold her tight against me and I ignore the urge to moan trying to concentrate on all the eyes on us.
 
  "What just happened?"
 
  Jaxon asks, taking a seat across the table from us. Carly stops kissing my neck listening in. Her brain tries and fails at processing what just happened. It was up to me to tell her the truth now. So she would finally understand what iv meant all these years. All she's feeling right now is all those feelings that come with our connection. All of the feelings she didn't know she was living without.
 
  "As I've told you all before, I have held back Carly's power so she could have the childhood she deserved. With power comes responsibility. But my power without my knowledge claimed Carly as his own, giving her her power back, making us equal. Making us one. But now she has it, things will change. She will develop her own gifts now that she has access to the power within her. She will finally feel the connection that we have. She will finally understand why she was made for me and I for her. But with it comes responsibilities, many people have been waiting for us to come out of the shadows and rule and I'm afraid that that will come sooner rather than later now. Because now I need to teach her to use it"
 
  She kisses my neck again, sucking the skin into her mouth. My eyes nearly roll to the back of my head as all the feelings I have had for her bubble up within us both. Begging us to complete the connection. But just as I get a grip and pull myself together I feel her teeth graze my shoulder and I freeze as the power and feelings for me overwhelm her. I rush to move her
 
  "No Carly wait nooo—fuckkkk"
 
  She sinks her teeth into my shoulder hitting bone, my eyes roll to the back of my head as yet another connection is formed. I moan grabbing her tight against me as our parents jump up and reach for her but it's too late. She has already marked me. Overcome with the love she has for me. Her breasts push against my chest, her legs wrap around my waist and I'm powerless to the feelings from our bond. I'd never felt pleasure like it as Cain prances around inside my head.
  Then cleo starts to purr, sealing the mark.
