📻 ┃⤷ Alastor's POV
-Early 1950s-
Today was just like any normal day in Hell. The rain was less acidic this afternoon- allowing Alastor to finally go on his evening walk. He held an umbrella in his left hand and his staff in his right, lightly letting the bottom of his staff tap against the sidewalk as he walked down the street, humming to a 1920's tune he had stuck in his head.
His usual grin was plastered on his face, slightly growing whenever a demon would see him and run. What entertainment it was- only his presence scaring those around him. He found it quite amusing.
He rounded the corner and began walking down the street to his apartment, ending his evening stroll. There was a crack of lightning, sending a bright flash throughout the sky, and soon after a loud crash of thunder. The sound rattled in his head, annoying him slightly.
The storm didn't seem to be letting up anytime soon.
He quickened his pace- wanting to get home as soon as possible.
He passed an alleyway, paying no attention as usual. But a soft glow he noticed in the corner of his eye caught his attention, and he stopped, backing up slightly and looking down the alleyway.
It was coming from behind an old dumpster.
He stopped humming and his grin faded very slightly as curiosity got the best of him and he walked down the alleyway slowly.
He peeked around the dumpster, and to his surprise he saw an unusual demon. One he could only assume was a sinner, based on their body.
The demon had a box tv for a head, and their screen was flickering in and out. They were slouched against the wall, their arms hanging limp at their side.
Alastor just stared down at the demon for a moment, before cautiously kneeling down in front and tapping the top of their head with the end of his staff. When the screen flashed for a moment, Alastor froze, intrigued now. He tapped the top of the TV a bit harder this time, and the screen went completely out.
At first, his expression turned frustrated. He really was interested in this- but his curiosity was replaced with irritation as everything went dark and quiet again. But, the screen flickered back on- this time staying on, a bright blue filling the screen- and Alastor's frustration was gone again. He noticed what looked like a hole in the right side of the screen- and his ear tilted as he became more curious.
The screen stay blue for a moment, before flickering to a lighter, dull blue, and the image of closed eyes and teeth showed- and this is what Alastor figured was the face of the demon.
The demon stayed closed, reaching up and rubbing their screen. They then opened their eyes, and when they saw Alastor, they immediately jumped, yelping slightly.
Alastor also jumped at the sudden sound and movement, and jumped to his feet. He then chuckled, looking down at the sinner.
"Well, hello there. I was beginning to think you were dead."
The demon looked up at Alastor, visibly nervous. "Who- Who are you?!" Their tone was filled with panic and confusion. Alastor was beginning to wonder what had happened to this poor soul.
Alastor chuckled once more. "The name is Alastor. But you may know me as the radio demon!" He grinned down to the demon, his ears twitching with amusement. "What is your name, my electronic fellow?"
The demon just stared up at him. "I'm... I'm Vox."
Alastor could sense the hesitation, but he found this more entertaining than concerning. "Pleasure to meet you, Vox. What is a poor soul like you doing out here in the rain?"
