📺⌇➴ Vox's POV

Vox woke up slowly, only feint memories of the past night still clear in his brain. He sat up slowly, letting out a quiet groan of mixed exhaustion and pain. He lifted his hand to his head and lightly rubbed the side of his screen- aching pain shooting through his head.

He remembered his screen, and how it was cracked. But he couldn't remember how badly. He also remembered the demon helping him, as he looked around at the apartment and the radios piled around.

He sighed and closed his eyes for a moment. What time was it? Only 8 in the morning. He sighed again. Alastor was kind enough to allow Vox to stay here, so Vox thought it would only be fair to slowly pay him back whenever he could.

And he'd start by making them both breakfast this morning.

Vox slowly pushed himself to his feet, walking over to the kitchen. He didn't want to snoop around too much, so he stuck to the pans that were hanging above the island and the fridge and pantry.

To his absolute shock, there was a lot of raw meat in the freezer, and even some limbs and fingers. But he summed it down to normal, because they were in Hell. And he needed to get used to freaky stuff.

He found some eggs and what appeared to be bacon, along with some fresh bread in the pantry. He decided a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich would do, since his cooking skills weren't exactly great.

He began cooking the bacon, then the eggs not too long after. As those began to cook, he found a toaster shoved in the corner of the counter and pulled it out, putting the toast in.

As he was cooking, Alastor had walked out at one point, yawning and rubbing his eyes. Vox looked at him and smiled, waving.

"Good morning, Alastor. I'm making breakfast. I hope you don't mind."

Alastor's ears immediately shot up at the sound of Vox's voice, and his eyes widened as he seemed to immediately go on high alert. But he relaxed as he saw Vox, chuckling slightly. His grin never once disappearing, which only made Vox wonder.

"Oh, apologies, Vox. I forgot you were here." Alastor chuckled again and walked over to the counter, leaning on the opposite end and yawning again. "And really, it's not problem at all. Help yourself."

Vox smiled, a warm feeling in his chest. This demon, someone he had just met yesterday, was being so friendly. Vox had assumed that everyone was terrible- but Alastor seemed nice. At least on the outside.

He finished up breakfast and found the plates, pulling two out then putting the food on the plates, carefully putting the sandwiches together. He then turned and handed a plate to Alastor, sliding it gently along the counter.

Alastor's ears went up again as he seemed slightly surprised, but once again he just chuckled. "Thank you, Vox."

Vox nodded. "No problem!" He turned the stove off then grabbed his own plate, beginning to eat.

They were quiet for a few minutes, just eating in silence. Vox began to grow a bit uncomfortable with the silence- he felt it was awkward. So, after swallowing another bite, he spoke up again.

"So... how'd you sleep?"

Alastor was quiet for a moment, finishing the bite he had taken, then swallowed and looked at Vox. "Fairly well, I suppose."

Vox nodded slightly at the simple answer, looking back down at his food. As Alastor spoke again, he looked back up.

"I got the guest room all cleared out last night. You can move in there today and get settled in."
