📻 ┃⤷ Alastor's POV

By now it had been a few months since Vox and Alastor had officially become roommates, and best friends now too. Alastor had decided that he'd introduce Vox to his close friend, Rosie. She had heard a lot about Vox, and had practically been begging Alastor to bring him over sometime.

So, Alastor was already awake, waiting for Vox to wake up. He thought it was amusing, how late he normally slept in on days he didn't work.

Alastor was just drinking his coffee and reading an old newspaper when Vox finally walked into the living room, his screen dim and his eyes just slits as he had just woken up. Alastor looked up from his newspaper, immediately letting out a slightly chuckle at Vox's exhausted appearance.

"Well, look who's a ray of sunshine."

Vox simply put his middle finger up, walking into the kitchen and taking out his mug, pouring coffee into it. "Fuck off."

Alastor laughed, the static in his voice increasing for a moment before dialing back down. "Someone sounds grumpy." He found this conversation to be very entertaining, despite it being a regular occurrence.

Vox rolled his eyes in response, taking a sip of his coffee that he had loaded with sugar. "And someone sounds like a dick right now."

"Now, now! No need for the harsh language, my friend!" Alastor stood up from the armchair, setting the newspaper on the coffee table and walking over to Vox. "Anyways, I've got something planned for today!"

Vox just gave him an annoyed look. "You always have something planned."

Alastor just laughed again, finding this amusing. "This is actually decent for once."

One of Vox's eyebrows raised, and his screen slowly brightened a bit as he was beginning to wake up. "Alright, you've caught my attention. What is it?"

Alastor crossed his arms behind his back, smiling widely. "I have a friend I want to introduce you too."

Vox just blinked a few times, confusion clouding his expression. "Who is this 'friend'?"

Alastor chuckled again. "You'll see. She's a very dear friend of mine."

Vox stared at him for a few more minutes, then smirked. "Oh, I see."

For a moment, Alastor was confused. What did he mean by this? Then it hit him, and he glared at Vox. "Not like that, you flat faced moron!"

Vox laughed, and Alastor just continued to glare at him. This had ticked him off slightly, but he wasn't going to let it get to him. Today would be a good day.

"Just get ready. We leave at 10."

Vox nodded, still smirking. "Alright, fine." He walked out of the kitchen, setting his empty mug in the sink.

Alastor watched him, then set his own mug in the sink and began to clean the dishes as he waited for Vox. It took Vox only a few minutes to be ready, and once he was they made their way out of the apartment and began walking down the street.

As they were walking, Vox spoke up, sounding a bit nervous. "So... uh- where does your friend live?"

Alastor grinned more, looking at Vox. "Cannibal Town!" He saw Vox's nervousness grow worse, and he chuckled. "Oh, don't worry, Vox! It's not as bad as it sounds. The place is actually very lovely."

Vox only responded with a nervous, dry chuckle.

They walked in silence now, until they arrived in Cannibal Town. The streets were crowded with cannibals of all kinds- young and elderly. Alastor felt some slight relief wash over as they made it there, feeling more relaxed in a place he knew really well.
