Maya's POV
It's been a week since my date with Josh and the...umm...almost kiss. We haven't really talked lately this week because of school and other stuff. I decided to call him.
Josh's POV
I was in my room when Maya called me.
Josh: Hello?
Maya: Hi, Josh. Are you free?
Josh: Umm...yeah. Why?
Maya: I was wondering if you'd like to hang out.
Josh: Umm...sure.
Maya: Ok. Do you wanna get something to eat?
Josh: Sure. Can I come now?
Maya: Yeah.
Josh: Ok. I'll be there in five.
Maya: See ya!
I walked to Maya's door and knocked on it.
Maya's POV
I was just putting on my shoes when there was a knock on the door. I opened it to see Josh.
Maya: Hi.
Josh: Hi. Ready to go?
Maya: Yeah, just let me get my phone.
We left the dorm, wondering where we were going to eat.
Josh: Where do you want to eat?
Maya: I don't know. Red Robin?
Josh: Ok.
We drove to a nearby Red Robin. The waitress had us sit down, and we ordered a burger for Josh and a clam chowder for me.
Josh: So how are you?
Maya: I'm fine. There hasn't really been anything too interesting.
Josh: Oh, okay.
Maya: Anything new with you?
Josh: Nothing. Well, umm, nevermind, yeah, nothing.
Maya: Okay...
We ate silently with nothing to talk about. Talk about awkward. We left Red Robin and went back to campus. Josh dropped me off, and before you know it, he was gone.
