Josh's POV
I have to find a way for Maya to know that I was really telling the truth. I had an idea. I decided to walk to her dorm to talk to her. Then I saw someone very familiar.

Maya's POV
I was on my way to my dorm after I finished all of my classes. When I walked into the building, someone grabbed me and pushed me to the wall.

Maya: What are you doing here?
Jenna: Did you think I would just stop there?
Maya: Just leave me alone.
Jenna: Aw. Poor crybaby. Tell me. How much did you cut yourself after you saw your "boyfriend" making out with me?
Maya: I didn't cut. I didn't, and I never will.
Jenna: Oh really? Then why did you and Riley fight over that knife?
Maya: I don't know what you're talking about.
Jenna: Stop lying, you little whore. You know exactly what I'm talking about. You were about to kill yourself, but unfortunately, little miss innocent had to save you. Don't act like you don't know.
Maya: ...What do you want?
Jenna: I want to make your life miserable. You took Josh away from me! Fuck you! (slaps Maya)
Maya: (touches her face) Get away from me.
Jenna: (evil smile) Oh, sweetie. That will never happen. I'm not expelled anymore. My daddy paid a lot of money for me to get out of jail. Your life, as you know it, is going to be a living hell. (walks away)

Josh's POV
That familiar person was Jenna! She walked out of the building. I ran up to her.

Josh: What are you doing here?
Jenna: I'm studying here.
Josh: No you're not. You're expelled, remember?
Jenna: Not anymore. See you later! (walks away)

I ran to the building. She probably did something to Maya. I was inside the building and continued running to Maya's door.

Josh: (knocks rapidly) Maya! Open up!
Maya: (opens the door slowly crying) What do you want Josh?
Josh: What did she do to you?
Maya: Nothing. She just told me that she's going to school here again. Her dad paid a lot of money for her to get out of jail so that she can make my life a living hell.
Josh: Maya. Can I come in?
Maya: Go ahead.
Josh: (walks in) Maya. What happened? What did she do to you?
Maya: Josh, you don't need to be protective of me, okay? She did nothing.
Josh: Then why do you have a bruise on your cheek?
Maya: ...I-I think you should go.
Josh: Maya-
Maya: Just leave! Please.
Josh: (opens the door slowly and leaves)

I know Maya. She was obviously lying to me. Jenna slapped her. Hard. I creaked the door open, and I saw Maya. She was sitting on the floor next to her bed with her head between her knees crying. That broke my heart. I walked into the room.

Josh: Maya.
Maya: (crying)

She wiped the tears under her eyes and looked up at me. She stood up, and I wiped her tears a little more. The sight of Maya crying kills me so much that I had to say with her until she stopped.
