"Omg, she's adorable," Lia exclaimed, reaching out to playfully interact with the little girl. "Thank you. Say hi, Royalty," Mariah responded with a smile, her maternal pride evident in her voice.

As they perused the racks of elegant gowns, Lia couldn't help but feel a pang of uncertainty tug at her heart. This was supposed to be a joyous occasion, a celebration of love and commitment. Yet, amidst the whirlwind of wedding planning, Lia found herself grappling with questions that lingered just beneath the surface.

"These are pretty. What exactly are you going for?" Mariah's excitement was contagious as she gestured towards the array of dresses before them.

Lia hesitated for a moment before broaching a topic that had been weighing heavily on her mind. "Well, I wanted two dresses-one for the ceremony and then one for the reception. But I had to ask you something... am I supposed to write vows?"

Before Mariah could respond, a sales agent approached, offering them each a glass of champagne. As Lia took a sip, she found herself lost in thought, the weight of her impending nuptials bearing down on her.

"Well, I honestly was kinda falling in love with Tory, and I expressed it on our wedding day. Maybe you can skip the vows and let him do the talking," Mariah suggested, her words tinged with wisdom born from her own experiences.

As Lia tried on dresses, she couldn't shake off the nagging feeling of disillusionment that lingered in the recesses of her mind. This wasn't how she had envisioned her wedding day-she had dreamed of a love story straight out of the movies, filled with passion and romance, not the constraints of arranged marriages and familial expectations.

Lia stood in front of her closet, her fingers grazing the delicate fabric of her dream dress as she carefully placed it away. Her excitement was palpable, but it was quickly overshadowed by the sight of the massive roses and gift bag that adorned her bed, a silent testament to East's thoughtfulness.
