What Lies Beyond Chapter 10
At Ric and Anna's office—Ric was in his office thinking about his dinner last night with Skye and their plan to bring Lorenzo down when Ava entered the room. "Ava, why are you here?" Ric asked. "I'm upset because Lorenzo got away! He was supposed to go down," Ava yelled. "Lorenzo will go down; I have a plan," Ric replied. "Do you mind telling me what it is?" Ava demanded.
At Bobbie's upstairs room—Carly and Lorenzo were sleeping when Lorenzo woke up and realized he had slept with Carly last night, and she woke up too. "This was a mistake," Carly said. "It was just sex," Lorenzo responded. "Yes, nothing new that we haven't done before. I'm not going down that road with you," Carly said. "Same here," Lorenzo agreed. "You're still in love with Skye," Carly added as she got up to put on her top. Lorenzo also got up and dressed. "We both moved on. Look, I'm not looking for love," Lorenzo said. "Same here, I'm done with it," Carly replied. "Maybe we can just have some fun," she suggested. "Maybe we can," Carly said as she kissed him.
At the Quartermaine mansion-AJ and Elizabeth were having breakfast together. "I want you to take it easy," AJ advised. "I will," Elizabeth said. Skye then entered the room. "Skye, why were you and Ric having dinner last night?" AJ asked. "It was just a dinner with a friend, that's all," Skye explained. "Skye, I'm not upset about you and Ric. I'm happy with AJ, and I want Ric to be happy," Elizabeth added. "Thanks, Ric always wants to put Lorenzo down, and I'm going to help him," Skye said. "Why?" AJ questioned. "Because it will keep my daughters safe," Skye replied. "I understand that, wanting to protect your children, but are you sure about this?" AJ asked. "Yes, I am. Now I need to go to the hospital," Skye said and left. "I'm worried about all this," Elizabeth admitted. "I know you are, but Skye can handle it," AJ reassured her. "I hope so," Elizabeth said. "Are you ready for the hotel opening?" AJ asked. "Yes, I am," Elizabeth responded.
