What Lies Beyond, Chapter 27
At the police station in Pentville—Kim and Faith were in their cell when Skye came by. "Kim," Skye said, "Why are you here?" "I wanted to see you. Why are you with Faith?" "This is where they put me in this cell," Faith said. "We belong together; she's my daughter!" Faith yelled. "She's mine! I remember we went to private school together," Faith added. "Yes, we did. You finally remember me!" Faith yelled. "Unfortunately, you are hard to forget," Skye replied. "Yes, I know," Faith said. "Kim, I want to see you. I hate that it's come to this point and you felt the need to get revenge. I understand that pain. I don't want to see you anymore," Skye said, hurt by this, and then she left.
Gabriella's Closet Boutique—Gabriella was unpacking boxes of clothes and hanging them up when Charlotte entered. "Gabriella, how is it going?" she asked. "Good, we got a big order of clothes in, and many hits of orders on the app." "The app was a great idea; it's the way of shopping now." "Yes, it is. Are you coming to the reopening of the hotel?" "Yes, I am." "Good, we need to find you a dress too." "Yes, that would be nice."
At Kevin's—Kevin was having coffee with Lucky, Lulu, and Nikolas when there was a knock at the door. It was AJ. "AJ, what brings us here?" Kevin asked. "I want to talk to you about tonight. I should have asked all of you beforehand. I wanted to honor the life lost at the hotel tragedy. Laura was my grandfather's favorite person; he adores her. I wanted to honor her," AJ explained. "You want to name your hotel after our mother?" Lulu asked. "Yes, she means so much to this community," AJ replied. "Mom loved this town and being mayor of it. I love that idea," Lulu said. "Me too," Kevin agreed. "Thanks, I will see you at the reopening," AJ said as he left.
