Two years later...

Marriage Officiant: We are gathered here today in this beautiful setting to celebrate Sam and Mon's union. This moment marks the beginning of a new chapter in their lives—a chapter filled with love, commitment, and endless possibilities.

Mon beamed as she glanced toward Sam, who was radiant with joy, her smile lighting up the surrounding backyard. It felt surreal to Mon; she never imagined that standing in the lush green space they had carefully chosen together, a place filled with memories and dreams crafted during their engagement, would now be the backdrop for their vows. Just six months ago, she had purchased this home with her then-fiancé, and now, here they were, on the brink of forever, overflowing with love and hope for the future.

She paused for a moment, glancing over her shoulder to catch sight of her parents and Sam's Mom. They stood together, beaming with pride as they cradled little Zoe in their arms. The adorable three-year-old was dressed in an elegant white flower girl dress adorned with delicate lace and tiny satin bows that added to her charm. Her curly hair was tied up with a matching ribbon, framing her sweet and innocent face. Zoe, with her bright, sparkling eyes filled with curiosity, was undoubtedly the smartest and most loving toddler in her mother's eyes, radiating joy as she took in the beauty of the moment. Mon's heart filled with joy and pride as she also see few of her and Sam'a friend. Some of them being new friends that they made through these almost four years of motherhood.

She found herself missing her best friend Yuki, and Tee, more than she had anticipated. It felt strange to experience such a pivotal moment in her life without them by her side. She recalled the countless times Yuki had shared her hopes and dreams for her relationship, her laughter and encouragement ringing in her ears. In her heart, she knew that none of this—the joy, the excitement, the unfolding of something beautiful—would have happened if it weren't for her unwavering support.

As she looked around, she imagined them with her, sharing in the happiness and celebration. She pictured Yuki's infectious smile lighting up the room and Tee's playful teasing, making everything feel just a little lighter. Although they weren't physically present, she took comfort in the thought that, wherever they were, they were undoubtedly cheering her and Sam on, their spirits intertwined with hers. It was a bittersweet feeling, but she held on to the belief that they were smiling down with pride and joy, happy that their dream for her had finally come true.

Marriage officiant: Sam, do you take Mon as your lawfully wedded wife to live in the holy bonds of matrimony?

Sam smiled as she looked at Mon, her soon-to-be officially wife, in the eyes and nodded.

Sam: I do!

Marriage Officiant: And Mon do you tak-

Mon: Yes, I do. I do!

She interrupted him, getting a few giggles from the guests, Sam, and even the marriage officiant.

Marriage Of: I see you are in a hurry to get to the point, so let us hear the vows.

Mon: Me first!

Everyone smiled as one of the bridesmaids, Jim, passed the paper to Mon. Jim was a new friend of both Sam and Mon. They had met her at Zoe's school during the open house and had immediately clicked. Jim was married and had three children with her husband: three boys, to be specific. The oldest, Jonas, was five years old; the second, James, was three; and the youngest, Jake, was one and a half. Jim mentioned that she is hoping to have a girl and won't stop having more children until she does.
