Secrets of the lost past

Chapter 12

 May 17th-10 am

Something else happened yesterday night, I was just too tired to write it down. So, I took Darius to my house and he met Eira for the first time. And oh my God! He's so good with kids! By the way, Eira knows that her adoptive dad isn't her real one. So she kind of knew who he was. When I went to sleep, they were still talking. Well, now I feel lucky that I have a big house. But when I first came, I noticed a bunch of money and I didn't really pay attention to it. Now I know what to do with it. I'll buy Eira and her dad a place to stay.

Yesterday, Dimitry said we should meet up today as well, so I'll get ready for that.

1:30 pm

Well, no one found anything. So we all got breakfast and coffee (guess who didn't). I gave Dimitry his decorated vodka bottle and he said:

-Oh, thank you! I'll just use it right now. -He said, but he didn't know that there was no vodka in there. -There's nothing in it. Did you drink it?

-No. It's just the bottle.

-Oh, I get it. Let me fill it up then.

He seemed "not drunk" for once, but he ruined it.

-Much better.

-Oh, and Gregoria, you can tell me what you want so that I can get it.

-No, thank you, I can buy stuff myself.

Right. We told them about how Darius was almost killed.

-What? I thought with his sense of reflex, he'd be dead.

-I told him to dodge it. Anyway, he's now staying in my house.

-What about the little homeless girl and her dad?

-I'll get them a new place close to mine so that

Darius can visit. Oh, look at the time, we have to go.

We went home and I got a letter in the mail."Good afternoon!

We want you to come to the castle as soon as you receive this letter. It's urgent.

the Queen."

-Hey, Darius, I think you need to hide somewhere here.

-Why?

-I got a letter asking for me to go to the castle. They probably wanted to search the house without me knowing.

-Where should I hide?

-I don't know, somewhere tight.

-On it. Try not to get killed.

7 pm

It was just a normal work day until the Queen said that I shouldn't trust Darius. Ella told her. I was like okay, and went back to cleaning when I saw a bunch of guards leaving the castle. I guarantee they went to my place. And the Queen started acting very hostile with me. Well, that was it. I went home and I started looking for Darius, but I couldn't find him. Then, he jumped out of the tightest closet ever.

-How did you even fit in here?

-Magic.

-Now, if anyone would've heard that, you'd be at the execution tower right now.

-I know that very well.

I cooked dinner and asked:

-Did I burn this?

-You sure did.

-That's very good to know. Thank you.

We all ate our dinner.

-Hey, want to go out for a walk? There's another street shop today.

-Oh, can I come? Pretty please? -Eira asked us.

-Eira, no you can't. It's already past your bedtime.

-Aw, fine.

That was so cute.

10 pm

Juicyness I can say. We first went to the street shop and we found the perfect thing for Gregoria.

-Look! Wouldn't this be so nice for Gregoria? -I said as I showed him a letter-writing set with a special fountain pen.

-Yes, that's such a great idea. And this? -Darius said and he showed me some horse riding equipment.

-Yes! Both are amazing ideas.

We got both. Now begins the real juiciness. We were walking home and I asked him about how he started in a Russian boarding school and how he ended up here.

-Well, at first, everyone in that school loved me for my playfulness. I don't know what I was thinking. Then, the thing happened, and everyone thought the same thing you did. That I abused my rapist. Rumors got so terrible that Dimitry told me to just drop out and come here. And so I did. Before Eira's other father told you the lie and you spread it to Ella, she also thought it'd be good to make up another rumor about me cheating on her, while I was just having family problems and kind of ignoring her.

-Wow, so half of this is my fault.

-No, it's not.

-Yes, it is. If I hadn't spread this whole thing, nothing would've happened.

-It still would. This whole thing is Ella's fault, you didn't do anything to spread it.

Now I realize this is all my fault. How nice. I'll just read and go to sleep. Darius is making dinner today.
