Escape from Darius, nor Dimitry is available now. The monster's daughter is still not safe, even if the monster looks like he avoids her, he's lurking in the darkness, waiting to leap out on her. And Dimitry is his helper, he is the blackmailer Darius always needed for a perfect crime duo.
They both love finding my door, knocking on it and desiring to take me with them into their toxic lair of lies.
The time I first heard the incredibly harsh knocks, I immediately sent Eira to my bedroom, to hide. To hide from his own father.
I really didn't want to open the door. I wanted to keep them waiting until the night hit and they were left alone, but I knew that was never ever going to happen.
So I opened the door, ready for the worst decisions, worst lies, worst people.
They started the explanation by clearing their throats.
-Hello. Could we come in? -Dimitry asked, though he shouldn't have. They, I mean Dimitry, ran into the house impatient, while Darius simply walked in. He was trying to look like he had some manners, while the other didn't try to be different. Perfect.
-What are you doing-Oh. What happened to you? -I asked when I saw Darius.
When I first saw him, he always had this polished look, amazing posture, overall normal and attractive noble. But now, he was all the opposite. He looked ruined for some reason.
My eyes widened at the view of Darius looking like a casual peasant, yet they widened even more at the next things.
He could not hold it in. He already looked like he was about to break down the moment he came in, but that was the time it was actually fulfilled.
Darius' hands were shaking as he brought them to his face to stop himself. I mean that was what it looked like, acting skills matter a lot in scenarios like that.
The time he started crying, Dimitry immediately embraced him, like his whole life was meant for that, and not vodka.
Their feelings looked rather genuine at first, but as the hug kept on going for seconds, it started to feel funny. Not for them, but for me.
They were emotionally hugging in front of me, and I...I was sitting on a chair, legs crossed, eyes widened, fingers fidgeting with each other.
-You'll be okay. All you need to do is get through this discussion and then we'll leave, alright? -Dimitry whispered, patting Darius' back.
When they stopped hugging, they were all back to usual, and after a couple slight coughs, the "discussion" started.
-I mean, there are quite a lot of people who...I guess discard Darius like every day, but you...Uhm...I suppose you went a little too far.
-Did I? I'm afraid I didn't notice anything. But still, what is there that I didn't say correctly?
-Anyway, back to what I was saying. He came from an orphanage, his parents put him there straight after he was born...

Darius
Looking away from this trashed orphanage, looking away from the thought I might be stuck in here forever...Equality seems like a dream worth living for. It sounds like heaven dressed in commoner clothes, so therefore, not many people adore it...At least as much as I do. I'm not sure I care who adopts me, I do not care at all. The only thing I want would be equality in its finest, best form. Something that's not available here. A dream indeed.
1886
Darius's hands stopped shaking, yet they twitched for minutes, as Dimitry continued the story.
