I rapidly packed my bags, and then I rushed to my balcony. I wanted to say a proper goodbye to it.
It was the place I truly found my peace in, and the world just took that from me. I have been to a lot of countries before, but this one has my heart the most. Especially because of the balcony.
Even though it's just a place and I may seem childish, I love that place more than people. It doesn't hurt my feelings and it comforts me like no human. I don't think I'll ever see it again, this makes it so heartbreaking.
These thoughts owned my head at the moment, much more moments actually.
I sat there for a few more minutes, but I was rushed to go. I took a last look at the beach, and I went downstairs.
-We're going to be late! -Aria said while walking around, frustrated. -We will miss the train!
The last person came down, and we were all ready to leave...leave. I still haven't processed this. We left peace. We couldn't take it with us, it's way too heavy for all of us.
I took a deep breath in the house for the last time, and I stepped outside. I looked up at the sunny sky for the last time. Everything is for the last time, it's all for the last time.
Everybody else followed me outside, and we walked towards the train station.
-These few weeks were fun -Eira said with one eye full of sadness, the other full of happiness.
-Let's hope we won't upset Irene's family, so we'll get to come again.
The train arrived shortly after, and we all got on.
On the train, I managed to let go a little, I kept my focus on the window, the passing trees and bushes.
-I wonder possibly how much we have to clean at home -Aria said while putting her bags away. -A few more hours and we're home.
She said this happily, but she couldn't share her happiness with me, I kept rejecting any form of it.
Hours of hell, sleeping, throwing up, and we still weren't home.
When the train finally stopped, we all sighed a sigh of relief, some people sighed a sigh of throw-up, but oh well.
I wanted to get off as soon as possible, so I rushed towards the exit. The second my feet touched the ground of our kingdom, I felt an odd feeling: this is the actual home for me, and I missed it more than I recalled.
I didn't even take a full breath when a hand gripped my wrist aggressively. It started running with me, I wanted to say something, but the speed didn't let me. I looked back to see an army of guards chasing us. I couldn't take it, so I had to ask:
-What are you doing and why are there guards chasing us?
He looked at me for a second or so.
-You shouldn't talk while running, you'll get tired -he said, I didn't recognize his tone at all.
Turns out, I did feel the tiredness minutes after, so I drove him into an alley, where the guards lost us.
I eyed him while catching my breath, I broke out laughing. I could barely breathe, I couldn't stop laughing. A great combination.
I finally calmed down, but my head didn't.
-You did good, your Highness -he said, to which I widened my pupils in confusion.
I made a slight grimace, and I rested my hand on the walls.
I wanted to say something else, but he itched his nose instead.
