-I can go outside, it's not like I'm the mystery murderer. And besides, I have to get us some money, or we'll go broke! -I said, wanting to go to work.

-She's right, we do need some money right now -Irene supported my idea. -If you want, I could come too.

-It's okay, I'll manage.

When I arrived, the Queen was happy to see me.

-I haven't seen you in such a while! Are you okay?

-Yes, your Majesty, I'm fine.

-I wanted to ask you something. There will be a ball in a few days. Would you and your friends like to come?

-Of course, your Majesty!

-Great! Oh, and also, you have to come in pairs.

I hope this will get us to relax for a little bit after everything that's happened. Luckily Dimitry's house is full of ball dresses, so that's one problem less.

-Guys, I have good news! -I yelled when I got home.

-Is Gregoria alive? If not, I'm not sure I care -Dimitry stated.

-No, but it's still good news. We got invited to a ball! -I said happily, and Eira immediately started jumping around me. -Dimitry, are those dresses still in your closet?

-I think so. I'm not sure the suits fit, but the dresses are good.

-Now, here comes the bad news for some people.

-I knew someone would die in return! -Darius said.

-No, it's nothing like that. It's that we all have to go in pairs.

Jasper looked relieved that no one will die, Dimitry, Irene and Darius looked incredibly confused.

-I have an idea! -Eira cheered and she put two fingers on her chin. -How about you go with Jasper, I go with Darius, and Dimitry goes with her?

-No way in hell -Irene said, the minute the word got out of Eira's mouth.

-Come on, why not? It's perfect this way! -I insisted. -You guys don't need to dance, you just have to walk in together!

-Wait, what about Eira's other dad? -Jasper questioned.

-I'm fine here, really, I don't really want to go -he said, and he continued to look at some photos.

-Okay...-Eira said gloomily.

-It's decided. I'll go with Jasper, Eira with Darius, and Dimitry with Irene.

-I said that's not possible. I don't want to be around him, let alone go to a ball with him.

-Don't be so queasy! It will be okay, it's not like he's a deadly virus -I noted the only thing that came to my mind.

-He may not be exactly that, but he smells like booze!

-If you don't want to that bad, then don't come at all.

-Fine.

-Well that was funny -Eira said, crying from laughter. -Let's go pick out our dresses already, I'm so impatient!

-Okay, okay, come on.

He showed us all the dresses, and...I don't know how he has such beautiful pieces lying around. I found myself a gray dress, and I had to try it on. I've never had something like that on me before, even though we're rich, I never tried on a dress like this.
