Mental Health Awareness Month 2024 prompt : Write a fic in which a character has Anorexia (canon or not canon)

Nick wished there was more he could do to help Charlie with his eating disorder.

He wished he could just take away the mental turmoil that leads to such things, or even take it onto himself just to allow Charlie a moment of peace.

It made him sad, the calorie-counting and the fainting and the constant hunger. The thinning of the boy's hair and nails.

He was never angry at Charlie for it and he didn't enact any sort of strong intervention because he knew realistically it wasn't a severe case.

He did what he could to encourage (though never force) Charlie into eating more and was always proud of the boy when he did eat. He regularly told Charlie how handsome he was.

He hoped that his attempts helped at least fractionally and wished every day for the universe to be kinder to the young man that he adored so much.
