Episode 2: Takegawa Shiori

~Kaori's Mom P.O.V.~

right now, my daughter is being taken care of by the doctors and nurses around here. oh God, i don't want her to have to suffer to any illnesses anymore. it just tears up my heart into pieces that i can't explain.

my poor baby.

the doctor finally came out Kaori's room and said, "your daughter is fine now. you can now go see her. if there is anything wrong with her after she wakes up, just call a nurse and we'll do the rest."

"thank you, doctor." i said then the doctor turned the other way around and walked away.

i went inside and saw her sleeping peacefully. when i sat beside her and caressed her face, she opened her eyes slowly and smiled.

"hi mom. what am i doing here?" she asked.

"you got an attack and needed to take rest. would you like for me to call a nurse? are you hurting?"

"no mom, i'm fine. umm.. where's dad?" after that she sat up from her bed.

"he returned at our house, you said you wanted to get your phone right?" i smiled. knowing that she'd want to call her boyfrie- i mean, her friend.

"why?" she tilted her head a bit.

"what do you mean why? you said you wanted to get your phone, so dad went back to the house to get it for you."

"but i see no reasons why i need to call anybody. the only contacts there on my phone is you, dad, my doctor and the dentist. of course with the school number."

"but what about your friends? don't you want them to know you got back from surgery fine? what if they worry?"

"f-friends?" she looked like as if i asked something she wasn't aware about.

"i don't have friends mom, remember? i mean, you know already that since i got at school. i'm always distant to others cause i look like a nerd. Since i was always at the hospital, i didn't have the chance to make friends with anyone.

and what do you mean by surgery??" she continued. "mom, i don't get it. what happened to me?"

i pressed a button near Kaori's desk and called a nurse. the doctor came with the nurse and said they need to take Kaori a test.

after how many hours, the doctor came out and said that Kaori... she..

got an Amnesia.

"Maybe it's because of the after shock on her attack last time. she's losing her memory bit by bit but will only remember her childhood days." the doctor explained.

"doc, she doesn't remember her friends."

"maybe because that her friends are what was on her mind within her attack. that might've been the reason why she can't remember."

the doctor also said that she may be discharged from the hospital and can go to school again. although she might still be anemic (reason of her collapsing and her constant headaches) so we still need to look after her carefully.

i need to make an excuse. i need to make something up so her friends won't be troubled.

oh right, the letter!

she wanted to give it to Kousei-kun, since she'll be having her surgery and doesn't know if she'll make it. so she made a letter for him. i never opened it but maybe if we'd give this to him, the others would know. and Kaori can live peacefully again.

as i entered Kaori's room. she smiled and said "mom, what are you holding?"

"Kaori, listen to me and do as you're told okay?" she nodded in spite of hesitation. i called a friend of mine who new a guy that can do hypnosis.

after an hour the guy did its work. all i have to do is say the things needed and with just a snap of my fingers, she'd obey.

"okay, that's it. she's in a trance now." the guy said.

i nodded at the person. now with my husband (i explained everything and even if he doesn't like this, he still agreed).

"okay now, Kaori, you are not that person anymore. from now on, you are Takegawa Shiori."
