Episode 16 (2.0): Break up

(a/n): this scene is where Kaori got jealous and Kousei trying to find her. Tsubaki sees Kousei still inside the house and grabs him to the living room where Watari is eating his portion of the cake.

~Tsubaki's POV~

it's now or never.

"i-i have to tell you something." i stammer on my words. my hands are getting cold.

"what is it?" Kousei said.

"i'm breaking up with you." i looked at my feet not looking at anyone else's faces.

i feel my heart being ripped to shreds.

"wh-what? why??" he looked at me with his concerned face. i heard Watari's chocking from aside.

"it's just that i can't feel you falling for me. i feel you that you're not over her. and it makes me so sad and hurt.. to think that i've been in love with someone who will never return the same feelings i have for him." i look at him then i faced Watari and tears began to well up my eyes.

"you know that i l-love you right?" Kousei said.

"yeah, i know what kind of love you have for me. you love me as your BEST FRIEND." i looked at Kousei again.

"i-i'm so sorry.. i just can't. i mean, i tried... i didn't want to ruin our friendship. on how close we are.. that's why i---" i interrupted him.

"that's why you agreed that i'd be your girlfriend?"

he nodded.

"i wanted to give you a chance and see if i'd eventually fall for you.. but.." he close his eyes and frowned.

"it's okay.. i'll still be with you anyway. as long as my friendship with you stands, this break-up will not be that much bitter.. besides, i'm always gonna be your big sister!" then i gave him a hug, he hugged me too. then i gave a nuggy on his head.

"ow, hey! stop it!" he said trying to get my hand off him. i laughed and looked at Watari. he just smiled at me and lip synced the words, "it's all gonna be ok." tears began to slide down my face.

Watari got shocked. then he ran to me and hugged me.

*dug dug dug dug dug dug

here goes my heart again.

"umm.. say! Kousei, look for Shiori will you? she's been gone for a while and it's almost night." Watari said and hugs me tight, i continue to sob softly.

"uhh.. sure."

"you're not together anymore right? you can't be mad at me doing this." he laughed a little and i hear Kousei chuckle.

"yeah. i'll be right back." i felt Kousei pat my shoulder and went away.

"he's gone." Watari said. "i said, he's gone." he continued.

"Watari.." i slowly moved away from him and pointed the wet spot i cried on his shoulder showing a little snot over it.

then i made a peace sign and smiled widely.

"sorry!" i said gleefully.

"why you!!! come here!" he locked me inside his arms and tickled me.

"Aaaaah! stop hahahaha! Watari st- hahahahaha!! i can't- hahaha stop it!" i tickled him to so that i can escape.

then we tickled a lot and ran around the house playing like hide-seek-and-tickle game. it was fun while it lasted.

we ended up at the living room and sat down. i put my head over his shoulder and he put his head over mine. gosh, i'm tired.

"you reek." he said and chuckled.

"look who's talking." i laughed. we're actually both sweaty from all the running and tickling.

then i looked at him properly. i looked at the way he... his.. he.. he's just him.

*dug dug dug dug dug dug

i have to talk to Kao-chan. i want to talk to her about what i'm feeling right now cause i don't understand it. time passed by so much and i forgot how it felt to me.. this feeling. i don't know anymore.

i said to Watari i'll be going outside looking for Shio-chan. and he just sat and closed his eyes and said ok.

when i opened the door i said her name.

"Kao-chan!" then i saw him and her together. i covered my mouth.

shit. i forgot.

Kao-chan ran and Kousei followed her.

i got too shocked so i stayed behind.

noticing how long i've been outside, Watari went to me, called out my name a hundred times but i can't speak. i can't find the words i have to say..
