He nodded, feigning tears that rolled down his cheeks. Loony and Carl were about to face the consequences of their actions. "Follow me," I commanded, leading him out of the conference room. He obeyed silently as we made our way to my office.

Once inside, I sat down at my desk and began typing a document detailing the events of that night and Loony's confession. I printed it out and handed it to him. "Sign the documents," I instructed coldly. With trembling hands, he took the pen and signed the papers. "Now, leave."

He looked at me with pleading eyes, as if he wanted to say something more, but I was done with his lies. I couldn't forgive him. He lowered his gaze and nodded. As he turned to leave, I stopped him and walked to the wall, taking down a painting of a dark brown-colored horse. "It's a shame," I said, handing it to him. "As an artist, you're truly talented. It's unfortunate you chose this path. Take this. I don't want to be associated with you anymore. Just go."

He didn't utter a word. Instead, he took the painting and silently left. As the door closed behind him, I broke down in tears. My heart felt like it was being torn apart, reminiscent of the pain I felt when Mom died... and when Jun died. If I wasn't in love with Loony, then what was this feeling? Why did I want him as I did?

As I stood there with tears in my eyes, I couldn't help but wonder if I should truly be crying over someone like Loony. But despite everything, I couldn't shake the feeling of devastation and defeat. Pouring myself a glass of whiskey, I stared at the documents Loony had signed. Victory should be mine, but instead, I felt hollow. The dreams I once had of Loony and me now felt like nightmares.

Summoning the Head of Human Resources, I swiftly made the decision to remove Loony from SkyHaven Toys. "Hey, I need Alon Williams, a Senior Artist, out of SkyHaven Toys as soon as possible... Why?... He's an art thief, and I don't want to be associated with him. Good. And can you send me his bank account details?"

He'd betrayed me, yes, but deep down, I still wanted to help him, even from afar. After all, I loved him. Perhaps I would be like the sun, watching over him silently. I wanted to give him a fresh start. Upon receiving his bank details, I instructed my finance manager to transfer a hundred thousand dollars to Loony's account.

Startled by a presence, I hastily wiped away my tears as Layla entered the office.

"Hey," she called, noticing my bloodshot eyes. "Have you been crying?"

"W-what? Of course not," I denied, attempting to mask my emotions.

"Alright, Mr. Tough Guy," she teased, taking the glass of liquor from my hand.

"I finally got what I wanted, Layla," I said, gesturing towards the papers on my desk. She picked them up and scanned the contents.

"Oh, my," she murmured, taken aback. "You did it!" she exclaimed. "But why the long face?"

"N-nothing," I brushed off her concern, not in the mood to discuss it.

"Well, I have something that might lift your spirits," she said.

"What?"

"Good news," she replied. "After over a year of trying to hack into his computer, I finally gained access to his files. I found your tape and deleted it, along with any copies he had saved. The only one left is with you."

"That's a relief," I exhaled deeply in response.

"But there's more you need to know," she said solemnly, handing me a flash drive.

"What's on it?" I inquired.

"It contains the raw dashcam footage from Jun's car on the day he died," she revealed.
