The next morning held a special kind of tranquility as Ann watched Elizabeth sleep. The soft rise and fall of Elizabeth's chest, the peaceful expression on her face, it was a scene that filled Ann with a profound sense of contentment. As the first light of dawn crept into the tent, casting a gentle glow on Elizabeth's features, Ann couldn't help but marvel at how serenely beautiful she looked in her slumber.

Sitting there, her hands resting under her chin, Ann felt a wave of affection wash over her. She had seen many sunrises, but none quite as captivating as the one lighting up Elizabeth's face

As Elizabeth stirred, slowly opening her eyes and their eyes met, Ann felt a jolt of happiness. "Good morning," she said, her voice soft but filled with emotion. Seeing Elizabeth wake up was like watching a flower bloom; there was an innate grace and beauty in her every movement that left Ann in awe.

For a moment, Elizabeth just lay there, taking in the sight of Ann. It was like waking up to a dream; the gentle contours of Ann's face illuminated by the soft light, her eyes reflecting a depth of emotion that made Elizabeth's heart flutter. It wasn't just the beauty of Ann's features, but the sheer tenderness in her gaze that captivated Elizabeth.

"How did I get so lucky to wake up to such a beautiful sight?" Elizabeth found herself thinking, her heart swelling with a mix of admiration and affection.

Elizabeth blinked a few times, trying to clear the haze from her mind. "Morning, Annie," she replied, her voice still carrying traces of sleep.

Ann chuckled at the use of the nickname. "Annie, huh? Seems like that nickname stuck," she remarked with a playful twinkle in her eyes.

Elizabeth's cheeks flushed with a faint blush; her embarrassment palpable. She couldn't believe she had let the nickname 'Annie' slip out so casually. Her mind raced to understand why she had called Ann by that endearing name, especially in her slightly groggy state.

Ann couldn't help but notice Elizabeth's confusion and the way her cheeks turned pink. She decided to playfully tease her, knowing that the moment was too adorable to pass up.

"Aw, Beth," Ann teased with a playful grin, "why the blush? Did something come over you last night?"

Elizabeth's brows furrowed as she tried to make sense of Ann's comment. "I... I don't know why I said that," she admitted, her voice a mixture of embarrassment and bewilderment.

Ann leaned in closer, her voice teasing yet gentle. "Well, Beth, you called me 'Annie' last night. And not just once," she continued, enjoying Elizabeth's adorable flustered state.

Elizabeth's eyes widened as the realization hit her. "Oh no, did I really?" she exclaimed, her voice filled with mortification.

But Ann wasn't done teasing just yet. With a mischievous glint in her eye, she leaned even closer to Elizabeth, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "You know, Beth, you were so insistent about it. You practically begged me to let you call me 'Annie'," Ann revealed with a playful grin.

Elizabeth's eyes widened further, and her embarrassment reached new heights. She couldn't believe she had been so forward and persistent in her drunken state. "I... I did?" she stammered, her cheeks now a deep shade of crimson.

Ann couldn't help but burst into laughter at Elizabeth's reaction. "Oh, you did, Beth. You really did," she said between giggles, thoroughly enjoying this playful exchange.

Elizabeth buried her face in her hands, mortified beyond words. Ann's laughter filled the tent, and Elizabeth eventually joined in, unable to resist the infectious mirth.

Ann's playful tone shifted to one of genuine concern as she asked, "Okay, jokes apart how are you feeling now? You had quite a bit to drink last night."
