In the grand halls of Munroe Mansion, Beth prepared for a day out, her thoughts adrift. Despite the excitement of a picnic with her brothers, Finn and Robin, and their friend Henry, her heart yearned for Ann's presence. Her thoughts kept drifting back to the precious moments she had spent with Ann the day before. Her heart longed to recapture the magic and simplicity of yesterday, struggling to find the same enthusiasm for today's planned outing.

Meanwhile, at her own estate, Ann paced with a mischievous glint in her eye. The thought of Beth spending the day without her sparked a daring idea. "Richie," she mused aloud, "how do we crash a picnic without being absolute intruders?"

"Whose picnic are we planning to crash?" Richard inquired; an eyebrow raised in amusement.

Ann stopped, "Beth's," she confessed, her voice tinged with longing. "She might find the day long with just her brothers and Henry. I thought to add a little excitement."

Richard smiled slyly. "We'll make it seem like a fortunate coincidence. Perhaps we're out for a leisurely ride and just happen to stumble upon their picnic spot."

Ann's face brightened at the idea. "That's brilliant, Richie! It's simple, unassuming, and gives us a perfect reason to be there. It'll seem completely natural for us to join them."

Richard nodded, his plan taking shape. "Exactly. And if we bring along some delicacies to share, they'll hardly be able to refuse our company. It's all about the presentation, Ann."

Richard observed the spark in Ann's eyes and it filled him with a silent, profound happiness. He knew, without needing to ask, that Beth was the reason for this transformation. Yet, he chose not to voice his awareness, content in the knowledge that Ann had found someone who brought her such joy. For Richard, seeing Ann happy was all that mattered, and if Beth was the key to that happiness, he was more than willing to play his part in their carefully arranged surprise.

As Ann and Richard watched Beth and her company ride off from the mansion, they quickly put their playful scheme into action. Saddling their horses, they packed a basket with an assortment of fine cheeses, fresh fruits, and a bottle of wine, ensuring their arrival would be welcomed.

Richard, securing the basket to his horse, teased Ann, "Let's hope our grand entrance is more delightful than disruptive."

Ann retorted, "Disruptive? We'll be the highlight of their day!" as they both start laughing.

They navigate through the woods, the light filtering through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on their path. The anticipation builds with every step their horses take, the sounds of laughter and conversation growing louder as they near the picnic.

As Ann and Richard approach, Finn spots them first, his face lighting up with a mix of surprise and joy. "Stumbled upon our secret feast, have you?"

Beth's gaze lifted from the picnic to Ann and her world brightened immediately, a radiant smile broke across her face. The surprise of seeing Ann there, unexpected yet secretly longed for, sent a wave of joy through her heart. Ann, catching Beth's gaze, winked playfully.

Richard shrugged nonchalantly, a twinkle in her eye. "We were just out for a stroll and happened to find you guys. Didn't mean to intrude on your perfect picnic," he said, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

Ann nodded in agreement. "Yes, quite the coincidence, isn't it? But we wouldn't want to disrupt your carefully planned outing," she added, her voice laced with humor.

Finn grinned, waving them over. "Nonsense! The more, the merrier! We've got plenty of food to share," he insisted, gesturing to the picnic spread.

Robin chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. "Yeah, come on, join us! We could use some entertainment," he teased, earning a playful swat from Finn.
