Ever since I arrived on this island, I've felt like I've been trapped - either confined to the house or endlessly training, with no real freedom to explore or venture out on my own.

It was all starting to feel a bit... off.

Determined to get to the bottom of this, I decided to sneak around and see what information I could gather. I crept through the dimly lit hallways, keeping a watchful eye out for any signs of the others.

As I turned a corner, I nearly collided with Volcov, who greeted me with a mischievous grin.

"Well, well, look who's finally decided to do a little investigating," he said, chuckling. "I was wondering how long it would take you to catch on."

I felt a chill run down my spine. "Catch on to what, exactly?" I asked, my voice laced with suspicion.

Volcov leaned in closer, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Oh, my dear, the fun is only just beginning. You haven't even scratched the surface of what's really going on around here."

I opened my mouth to respond, but he raised a hand, silencing me.

"Ah-ah-ah, no need to ask too many questions. You'll find out soon enough." He winked and then sauntered off, leaving me standing there, utterly bewildered.

What was he talking about?

What was really going on?

And where the hell was Sarah?

I stood there, my mind racing with a thousand unanswered questions. It was clear that there were secrets being kept, and I was determined to uncover them, no matter what it took.

The family had gathered for another one of their events, and as usual, I felt like an outsider looking in. The casual banter and inside jokes flew over my head, leaving me feeling increasingly out of place.

As I stood there, awkwardly sipping my drink, a few of the other family members approached me, their expressions a mix of amusement and something else I couldn't quite place.

"So, how are you enjoying your time with us?" one of them asked, a sly grin on his face.

"It's been... interesting," I replied, trying to keep my tone neutral.

They exchanged a knowing look, chuckling amongst themselves. "Oh, I'm sure it has. The fun is just getting started, my dear."

Before I could respond, they turned their attention to a young woman I hadn't noticed before. "Ah, and here's our newest addition - Winter. Winter, come say hello to our guest."

Winter, a girl around my age, stepped forward, her gaze sweeping the room with a confidence that belied her youth. As our eyes met, she offered me a sly smile.

"So, I hear you've been missing your friend," she said, her tone casual, yet laced with an unsettling undercurrent.

We moved away from the crowd into a bit of a secluded area of the party

"Nah, I haven't really seen my friend in a while," I admitted, trying to keep my voice steady.

Winter studied me for a moment, her eyes narrowing. "Wait, aren't you married to that Luke guy?" she asked, a hint of something unreadable in her tone.

"Oh, you mean Luka?" I corrected her, my heart beginning to race. "Yes, he's my... husband."

Winter let out a low whistle, shaking her head. "Damn, with the amount of stories I've heard about that beast of a man, your friend might as well be dead."

I felt the blood drain from my face as her words sank in. "What do you mean?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Well, you know how Luka is, right?" Winter leaned in, her gaze piercing. "He doesn't exactly take kindly to anyone trying to leave this place. Especially not the people he... cares about."

I swallowed hard, my mind racing.

Could it be true?

Had Luka... done something to Sarah?

The very thought made my stomach churn.

"But, I... I don't understand," I stammered, desperately searching for some semblance of reassurance. "Luka wouldn't hurt her, would he?"

Winter shrugged, a sardonic smile playing on her lips. "Who knows? All I can say is, people have a way of disappearing around here. And Luka..." She paused, her eyes glinting with a hint of malice. "Luka has a way of making sure they stay that way."

I felt the world tilt beneath my feet, the implications of her words crashing down on me like a tidal wave. Suddenly, so many things made a horrifying kind of sense – Luka's possessiveness, the way he had kept me confined to the estate, the eerie silence surrounding Sarah's disappearance.

"No, that can't be true," I whispered, my voice trembling. "Luka wouldn't... he couldn't have..."
