Just as terrifying and surreal
Like watching the ice melting
In the burning sunlight.
Put a white veil on my face,
So I can feel its softness
scrathing my vulnerable dreams.
To braid my hair and it to grow up,
to my ankles in flowers.
To swing my legs against the wind
and feel it on my skin
through my thin dress.
To hear the music
and cry tears of longing.
Of desire to come alive.
To paint my lips with cherry juice.
to sigh in bittersweet.
to have the courage to bathe
in the warm August sea,
and let myself float,
caressing the waves.
to dance on the moon
and to feel myself light.
To let honey fall in my hair
and to faint with joy.
to burn my fingers,
and it to not hurt.
To read old books
and unearth a treasure.
give me a day to feel fine and smooth.
give me a night to be thin silk.
my face to be a light.
let my hair be the nile with stars.
my voice like a siren.
my walk like a ballerina.
let me sting hearts like a bee.
To melt eyes with the heat of fire.
To steal shadows like an eclipse.
let me drown like waterfalls.
let me have hope.
let me be beautiful.
