"Are you sure you wanna do that?" Rachel asked me for the third time in a row.

We were currently in a small room next to the girls bedroom. Based on the amount of dust everywhere I could tell that no one went in here.

My head and my shoulders were already inside of the vent, the other half of my body struggled with not falling off the shelf I had to climb to get here.

My friend was standing in the middle of the small room, looking up at me unsure and with her arms folded in front of her chest.

I threw my head back in annoyance and gave her a fake smile.

"No matter how often you ask, me the answer will stay the same, Rachel." I gave back sweetly.

She rolled her eyes as she watched me crawl into the vent. The boys were definitely not taking this way from now on. There was barely enough space for me.

It had been two days since Newt, Thomas and the other two guys visited us. I wanted to make sure not to break the rules right after being punished for the exact same thing.

But I couldn't wait any longer. I had to do it now. It was not just about finding a way for Sonya to meet Newt anymore. Since I talked to the pretty brunette AKA Thomas I hadn't really been able to think about anything else.

Something about him amazed me. I had the urge to see him again. I would have never admitted that though.

"I just believe it is a bad idea, alright." I heard Rachel say behind me. She had been trying to talk me out of it since we left the bedroom. I was getting tired of it.

Normally people would thought that after making a bad experience with something you didn't make the same mistake again. However, that didn't seem to work for me. I didn't care about what would happen if I got caught because I wouldn't get caught in the first place.

Rachel was the one who broke the window that night, not me. This time Janson wouldn't even notice somebody sneaked out. I was not going back now.

One thing about me was that I always did stuff the way I wanted. Of course, I changed my opinion occasionally but usually, I sticked to my plans.

"Yeah well, I don't." I gave back shortly without turning around. It was more difficult to crawl through a vent than I thought. Luckily, I was not claustrophobic.

It was a good thing I hadn't told Sonya about this. She would have freaked out on me. For as long as I could remember she had been protective over me and our friends. I think it was pretty sweet. Though sometimes she worried a little too much.

My thoughts were cut off when I heard distant footsteps from the hallway. My whole body froze and I tried to listen to the noises. The door of the room we were in was closed but if Janson would have decided to check if all the girls were present...

"I know he hurt you, Charlie. I don't want you to-" Rachels loud voice broke the silence and made me flinch.

"Shut up!" I whisper-yelled, interrupting her midway through the sentence. I couldn't hear the footsteps. Instead there was the noise of my friend gasping offended.

"You can't just insult me-"

I almost let out a frustrated groan. "No, I mean shut up, I heard something!"

I was trying to concentrate on the footsteps again. Someone must have walked down the hallway. A guard? Janson?

Maybe this really wasn't such a good idea. Now it was too late anyway. I just didn't want my friend to get in trouble for something I did.
