"What?" Rebbie, Janet, and LaToya screeched.
Marlon, Jackie, Randy, Tito and Jermaine frowned, their faces contorted with shock and disbelief.
"Lisa Marie, cheating on you?" Jermaine asked, disbelief lacing his voice.
"Yes, she's cheating on me," Michael confirmed, his voice filled with resentment.
Katherine's eyes widened in shock, "Oh Michael, how could she?" she said, her voice trembling with anger.
Marlon's fists tightened as he clenched his jaw, his anger simmering beneath the surface, "I know something was wrong with her," he muttered.
"I can't believe it," Rebbie sighed, shaking her head in disbelief.
"I know it's hard to believe, but it's true," Michael confirmed, his voice filled with bitterness.
Joseph's eyes narrowed, his expression hardening, "I knew there was something off about her from the beginning," he grumbled, "I had a feeling the second she stepped foot into this house!"
"She's trying to make it to six years so she can take half my money," Michael added, "I overheard her conversation with Liam—oh, that's another detail—Lisa Marie is cheating on me.....with Liam."
"Let me get this straight," Jermaine said seriously, "You mean to tell us that Lisa Marie is cheating on you with Liam, who is Athena's husband—and not only that, but Liam is cheating on Athena with Lisa Marie, your wife?"
Jackie gasped in astonishment, his jaw practically hitting the floor, "Good Lord, this mess just keeps getting worse and worse."
"It's like a twisted soap opera," LaToya groaned, her hand flying up to her forehead in mock despair.
"So, pray tell, how did you discover all of this juicy information?" Marlon asked, his voice laced with a mix of curiosity and concern, "And don't spare us the details."
"I overheard a phone conversation Lisa Marie was having with Liam. And she was scolding him for something—kept saying 'Liam Barlowe!' which is Athena's husband's name," Michael explained as he ran a hand through his hair, "So on this phone call, I heard them talking about how they were planning on dragging out my marriage to Lisa Marie and Athena's marriage to Liam so they could get more money out of us—alimony and all that nasty stuff when they divorce me and Athena."
Randy stood up, "Enough talk!" he yelled, "I'm going to make this happen before they get the chance! Let's go, guys. We've got work to do!" he huffed, leading the charge out of the house, "Follow me!"
Marlon was the first to follow Randy out the door, the others looked at each other before following them out and to the cars—clearly knowing not to question Randy and Marlon when they were determined enough to do something.
As they all gathered in the garage, Randy started the strategizing talk, "Okay, people! First things first—find out where Athena lives!"
At that, everyone looked at Michael with raised eyebrows, assuming he would know the answer.
