About twenty minutes later, everyone had moved on from the drama and Bill and Javon were sitting in their seats for the wedding to begin. Bill was happy to finally have a companion to work with every day rather than alone and Javon was happy he could make a friend at work—it meant work could still be fun.
Everyone was seated and Michael made his entrance, shaking the hands of Athena's other half brothers—Austin, Noah, Miles, Theo, and Ryder, who had been sent invitations, but Athena didn't think they would actually show up.
So one can imagine the slight surprise on her face as she walked down the isle with Kayden being the one to give her away—Austin, Noah, Miles, Theo, and Ryder were there, arm in arm, dressed in matching suits, ready to show their support.
As they made their way down the aisle, Athena couldn't help but feel a sense of relief and pride. She had always loved her brothers, but the fact that they had all come together to support her on her big day meant more to her than words could express.
Kayden placed Athena's hand in Michael's and gave one last brotherly threat, "You better take care of my sister, Jackson—because if you don't, you'll have to answer to me."
Michael smiled at him, shaking his head as he sensed the humor in Kayden's voice, "I'll make sure she's treated like the queen she is, Kayden," he assured him with a gleam in his eye.
As Kayden took his seat next to Ellie, Michael and Athena faced each other, their hands entwined as they stood under the breathtaking floral arch.
The wedding proceeded as it normally would. Olivia, Bianca, and Natalie—three of Athena's friends, all sat together with tears in their eyes as they watched the couple get lost in each other's eyes.
Michael stood there, taking a deep breath before meeting Athena's gaze. His voice quivered slightly as he began, "Athena, my love.
