{A/N: Hello! Just popping in for a quick side note: in all these GIFS, just pretend her hair is jet black!}
Athena did a facepalm, rolling her eyes, "Okay, listen," she said, "Michael Jackson, my husband—in no way, shape, or form, did he want to change his skin tone. He did not have a choice in the matter. So many people accuse him of wanting to change his race, but that's simply not true. Have you seen the people who claim they're 'better' walking around with their unnaturally tanned skin? Fake, plastic, and frankly, unappealing," she added, "There is no such thing, as we know, as skin bleaching—we've never seen it, we don't know what it is—but either way, Michael wouldn't do it because he never wanted his skin tone to change in the first place. And to all these people saying he's 'changing his race' and 'trying to be a woman', have you seen the people who are literally changing their gender? I'm not judging people who choose to do that, but it angers me that people accuse my husband of trying to be a woman because clearly he doesn't have the same equipment as women do. So what, he wears makeup? So does Prince! And Prince wear high heels too which is definitely a female thing. They wanna question Michael about wearing makeup and not Prince?"
Diane frowned at the long speech, knowing she needed to dig deeper, "But what about—"
"And another thing! Let me tell you what I was thinking before," Athena added, effectively cutting Diane off, "Men used to wear makeup all the time back in the day. The Pharaohs used to wear eyeliner and lipstick, and in the Elizabethan era, men wore more makeup than women. So this whole idea that 'makeup is only for women' is a concept that has been misconstrued by our society. It's ridiculous! They're both artists expressing themselves through their appearance. Yet, Michael has always faced more scrutiny for it, which I find incredibly unfair," she huffed before looking at the camera, "Prince, if you're watching this, I love you—you're still our friend, but I had to use you as an example!" she grabbed Michael's hand and put it on her thigh, "Even Prince knows the unfair comparison isn't right."
