FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9th, 1994
"Hey, son," Joseph Jackson said as he opened the door to Hayvenhurst, "Your brothers and sisters should be here soon."
Katherine Jackson smiled upon catching sight of her son, "Michael, honey! It's good to see you!"
LaToya came through the front door, followed by Janet and Rebbie—then the Jackson brothers came in behind them, Jackie leading the charge followed by Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and then Randy.
"Michael!" they all yelled, engulfing him in hugs and high fives.
Michael laughed, "Hey, guys. It's good to see you too."
Jackie clapped him on the back, "So, what's going on with you lately? How's your wife and all?"
"Well, there's something I want to tell you guys," Michael said, a serious look on his face, "I've got a pretty long story for you, if you're all willing to listen."
Marlon smirked, "We've got all day. Let's hear it."
"Well, my marrige has never been a good one. It started already going downhill and it just keeps getting worse as the days go by," Michael explained, "So Lisa Marie decided we were going to do this program called 'Seven Year Switch'. Obviously I didn't want to, but she basically threatened to leave if I didn't do it—so I caved," he added, "In doing this experiment, I met Athena Tyler—"
LaToya immediately gasped, "Athena Tyler as in the Queen of Pop? The singer that everyone is always comparing to you?"
Joseph raised an eyebrow, "Now I'm curious, what does this woman look like?"
LaToya jumped off the couch and grabbed her laptop, "I got it!" she exclaimed, jumping back onto the couch, "She's like a goddess!" she grinned as she pulled up Athena's Google profile.
A whole array of images of Athena came up, her on stage, her photoshoots, some showing her rare personality without her sunglasses and a smile, but most being her unsmiling demeanor with her sunglasses covering her eyes—it was her signature look.
And that was when Katherine and Rebbie started internet stalking Athena, finding her background information and her performance videos.
Janet sat captivated, watching Athena's videos with wide eyes, "She's phenomenal," she exclaimed, her jaw dropping at the talent she saw.
Marlon narrowed his eyes, analyzing the performance clips, "Man, she's got some serious pipes, but she's holding back," he said, his tone reflecting his suspicion, "I wonder why."
Randy frowned at the screen, "I've seen her face before," he said in certainty, "I know I've seen her before....it was....ugh, where was it? Um..."
"We Are The World!" Jackie exclaimed, "She was on We Are The World with us! She shared a mic with Michael."
